Why does sugar sell so high on the Market?

I am producing sugar to sell on the market I want to know why the price of sugar is so high? I cannot figure out why that it would sell for such a high price?

Its probably needed in the contest product or in some semi-product needed for the contest product.

It is needed in orange juice production also in kapilands there is always inflation but very rarely significant deflation (products without NPC or contest products)

Don't forget all those special buildings. I have bought millions of sugar just for my Kindergarden. ;)
