Well I don't go to school anymore, but I know a ton of people with facebook. I know quite a lot of people that don't have it though. Me included. I think it's useless.sergiurocks506 wrote:same...ILIYYILI wrote:Everyone in my school has facebook, EVERYONE!!! except for me, I win.![]()

I don't think social networks are intended to make your life better. Oh, sure, you get to meet new people and make new connections ( maybe even find customers for whatever you're selling ( assuming you're on Facebook, MySpace etc mainly for doing business )), but, in my opinion, its primary role is to help you stay in touch with friends and family, especially when you're away from your home country.Dios wrote:I just don't see how it can improve my life. If I didn't keep contact with you it's because I'm NOT interested in hearing about you anymore.
And if you don't wanna hear from others, just don't let them know you've bailed out

I'm on both MySpace and Failbook and have added a ton of people. I honestly don't know most of them, so I'll have to start cleaning my lists and leave only the ones I personally am close to.Dios wrote:I am on myspace, and only one person found me there. That is a problem, your so-called "friends" can see all your private info.Dios wrote:I am on myspace, and only one person found me there. Failbook is privacy-free, if you register with your name everybody can find you.

Some people just add loads of "friends" even though they don't know them so they don't look lonely.

That can have bad consequences.
