Hi,
I've been playing actively the last couple of days. Last night I was playing between 22:00 (26/05) and 02:30 (27/05) and found that during the change of the day something weird happened to the financial overview.
At first it looked like that my profits and expenses I had made on the 26th were not added to the totals after the clock hit 00:01. I updated a sale which was still in progress and saw my total profits get raised by the amount what was sold till that point but still the profits (and expenses) of the 26th weren't included in the totals. At around 02:00 the totals were updated but it doesn't look like these totals are the correct ones.
For instance my contract sale currently displays a total of 12,000.00
Financial overview seems wrong

Hi,
Thanks for the information. We've got holidays in the Netherlands to so no problem on the possible resolution for this issue.
Small update on the issue.
Allthough the numbers are the same today, I found the company value overview slightly changed:
Company value Date Company value Date
3,360,993.99

The programmers tried to sort that out but have a problem in finding a bug there... they are still working on that but it seems to be a major thing.. so will take more time.
the calculation for this is the same one as in the German version and up to now there has been nobody complaining this... that makes it more difficult to find it. Could you please "observe" your figures? Maybe make more notes on it? So if they have more questions on that, they would contact you directly via pm.

HI,
Saw your reply; thanks for that.
I think the two examples I mentioned in the OP (the contract sale and the other income) are the best traceable examples I can come up with. The last couple of days nothing went wrong anymore so it might just be a database glitch of some sort.
Have a look at the current contest standing, I sold 4000 q1 apples for 2

Hi,
Yesterday night I observed (from a user perspective) what happens during the day shift with the financial overview screen. I've got some screen shots to support my findings.
At 00:00 the day shifted from 29 to the 30th of May. Financial overview was updated by updating the date column to 30/05 and resetting the total column to prior 29th values meaning all the expenses and income I made during the 29th disappeared (at that point) from the totals overview.
The account statement still contained all the transactions from the 29th and was not cleared at this point.
I made some transactions between 00:00 and 02:00 to make sure there was something going on on the user side to make the "test" plausible.
At 02:00 the financial overview was updated again. The 30/05 column was cleared (again) and the totals column was updated. It looks like these total values are correct meaning the 29th of May transactions were added to the end total of the 28th and the transactions I made during the first two hours of the 30th were added as well.
The account statement was cleared as well. The transactions I made during the first two hours of the 30th of May disappeared from both the financial overview (day column) as the account statement (this might be by design but it is weird imo).
To sum things up it looks like the kapilands system has two timed points to calculate the totals of a day and advance to the next day. Obviously the first one is at 00:00 midnight. The second one is at 02:00 which also clears (but correctly adds to the totals) the transaction of the first two hours in the new day.
This actually explains the system but not what went wrong during these specific hours on the 26th/27th of May. My best guess is that the system did this 02:00 procedure a few times in a row (4 times but that is a real guess based on user values) on this particular night due to.... stored procedure timed out and reran?
PM me for the screen shots if you need them.
