Change of auction rules

Post by Tycoon » 02.03.2007, 20:33

Hi,
we just changed the auction rules and added the point: "company name has to be given with the bid".

Pls be informed that bids without the company name will be regarded as invalid.

Hi,
there is another change on the auction rules:
"fun-auctions" are forbidden.

With fun-auctions we mean auctions containing a product which does not exist in Kapiland or any auction for unrealistic (= against the rules) prices.

I have added one additional rule. Most were doing this anyway, but now it is official.

Please make all auctions in price per unit, not price per all. This will eliminate confusion both during bidding and when the time comes to ship.

We realized that it became a kind of "custom" here in the auctions to start something like a "parallel" auction with bids below the starting bid.

The correspondent rule had been originally implemented just to avoid people complaining if a seller sells the products for a cheaper price in case there are no bids at all.

This does, however, not mean, that you can start another auction....

So we deleted that rule today.

In future, pls do not post such offers into the auctions. If you have the feeling, there won*t be any bids on an auction, pls contact the seller directly. He / she has to decide what to do with his products in case there are no winners on an auction...

Auctions would become too "chaotic" if there are even bids for cheaper prices...

Thx,
Tycoon

Hello all together!

From now on the auctions do not depend any longer on GMT, but on servertime.
Our hope is that this will make things easier as you can check your own time and compare it with the servertime-clock (top left corner in the forum or in your ingame-profile).
Thus everyone should be able to see when the auction will end and misunderstandings due to time problems should not happen anymore. 8)
The time that is shown in the postings is NOT the time that the auctions depend on because this time varies from user to user (according to the time zone they set in their forum-profile).
May I give you an advice?
Go into your forum profile and set the time to GMT+1 (which is the servertime on which the auctions now depend). Thus we should be able to avoid such time confusions.

 So - if anyone of you, who has an open auction at the moment, wants to adapt the ending time of his or her auction, you are welcome to leave me a message.
All auctions that will be started after this post will automatically depend on servertime.

Regards
GoldenEye
