[Closed] Colchester wool no longer available

Hear ye, hear ye, serious contest entrants.

Colchester will divert its wool production from marketplace woolen goods to Q0 contest wool for one lucky cash-flush city for the price of 100 kapi thaler a bale.

We have the capacity to produce 50,000 bales of Q0 wool a day. This would mean that, if we start production for you tomorrow, you'll get about half a million bales of wool. This could make a difference.

We know this price is high, but for us to provide this quantity of wool to a contest player, we will have to put all of our weavers and drapers on furlough. Hence, we will have no income from our most lucrative draperies for the duration of the contest, so we have to make it up somewhere. Colchester woolen goods are known throughout the land for their high quality and therefore command premium prices.

If interested, send a pigeon to Colchester. Half a million bales of wool in your storehouse could make a difference, and the longer you delay, the less wool you'll get.

The price is high because this is not surplus wool that we swept up off the floor and bundled up for sale to contest players. This is our production wool, and it generates between three and four million kapi-thalers a day in income, depending on what we make and market. We would lose that revenue if we divert this amount of production to Q0 contest wool, so we have to make it up somehow.

Interested parties are encouraged not to tarry, because we will not divert production until we have a contract in hand. Every day of delay means 50,000 fewer bales of wool.

If we do not get a buyer, we will continue production as usual. We'll let the low-end shepherds provide the contest wool, and we'll enjoy the accompanying increase in stat price as the low Q producers pull out of weaving to produce contest wool.
