Ideas how the game could be improved and suggestions for subsequent versions of the game. (this is just a space for ideas! We can't guarantee suggestions will be implemented!)

things i wanna see in the next version:

1 TIME -> there should be a time implemented in the game. you could
have 1 year game = 1 real month or 24 days (2 days every in game month) or
something like that. many things in the game should be related to time.
like farming.

2 COUNTRIES -> how about adding 8 more countries. i especially like the
factories having to be built in africa for lower costs. it matches how
real life economy works. i would add countries like China and japan, US
, Brasil, Venesuela, Canada, Australia and UK. or mabe other countries.
or mabe a country called NooB country, where only players with the
level Trader or lower could sell. or Retailer or lower, this can be
Retailer in the beginning, and as more companies get bigger change this limit.
this will offer a market for newcomers that can't match the quality of
the products old big companies have.

3 FARMS -> am i the only one here that does not think that it's normal
in a second to change production from apples to lemons? we have some
super trees that will grow whatever fruits we want? i think trees should
grow, and after 2 years they should start producing. and no longer have
these small 12 hours cicles and get fruits whenever you need em. there
should be a harvesting time, like june 4 cherries ...
Also some fruits and vegetables wouldnt grow in all countries. You
can't grow bananas in Germany or Finland, can you ? Another improvement
could be irigated farms in countries where there aren't enough rains. also
i would introduce fertilizers that would increase production of farms.
higher fertilizer quality -> higher production bonus. also have
lifestock farms. such farm would start with a low number of animals when 1st
built (these could be purchased) there should be a number of baby
animals and a number of adult animals. all chickens become adults in a day.
50% for pigs, 25% for cattles. this would be done gradually like every
half an hour 1% of the pigs become adults. adults make babies, like
every hour there's a number of pig babies born equal to 1% * number of
adult pigs in the farm. there's alot of room for improvement, this is an
ideea. 2% of adult chickens would make eggs every hour. eggs could be put
in farms incubatory to become baby chickens or could be sold on the
market. you could setup the number of animals you wanna cut every hour.
that colb be set equal to birth rate to keep the number of animals
constant but could be set higher or lower depends if you wanna grow the
number of animals, or if you desperatelly need a product. when you cut a
ship you get both leather and meat. wool would come from ships just like
eggs come from chickens, gradually in time. same with milk from cattles
and ships.

4 WAREHOUSE -> the transport works strange at the moment. what if i
have all my factories and plantations in green, my mines in yellow and my
headquarter in red? if the buyer has his HQ in same country, there's no
transport cost. that's strange. also, why is transport for wood so
expensive and transport for most other wares is close to 0? i grow fruits
in gree and sell in a grocery in yellow. transport is i think 16 caps
for 3600 kilos. that's as much as 3 beers. i will get back to transport
in a separate chapter. my ideea is that we need separate warehouses 4
each country. there's not such a big increase in memory spent for this.
every product should have a variable specifying the place where that
ware is. 3 bits are enough for 8 countries, 4 bits for 16 countries. also,
the warehouses should have a higher number of positions. especially for
big companies. but i would reduce that number drastically for newcomers
and make it available @ RETAILER or TRADER level.

TRANSPORT -> i think this is a decisive factor, that make some real
life companies produce some products, even with higher costs, in the
developped countries rather to make everything in china. ppl should have to
do the math and see what's cheaper. build in green and pay for
transport, or build in a country close to the place i wanna sell. there could
be 4 types of transports (by planes , ships, trains and trucks) i would
make costs high and give players the opportunity of developping
transporting companies. they could charge less than the NPC standart transport
price and still make profit. everything should be build, like docks,
airports, railroads and roads. ofc building a rail road from brasil to uk
would be impossible, plane transport would be more expensive but take
less time. mabe 1 or 2 countries have no access to water transport.

BUILDING CONSTRUCTION -> i would give the option to build bigger
building from the start. and encourage that. i do believe that it should be
cheaper to build a 160 square metters factory than a 20 m2 factory than
expand it 10m2 every day (in game month). the time for all
counstruction would be increased. but a 160m2 building would be built in a shorter
time than if you make a 20m2 building and expand it 14 times by 10m2. i
would add new building materials and decrease the need for steel. some
buildings would require glass, concrete, for research buildings, i
would add the need of having a computer for every 20m2. for administrative
buildings i would add the need of having a printer mabe. Building
construction time would be increased and there would be a need of having
cranes (you can buy them or rent em for a construction company that has
some available). ofc NPC corp would have these available for rent, but
they shouldnt be that cheap to encourage players to build them, buy them
or rent em from other players. they would also work with diesel, so
that would also be a requirement when building something.Expanding
plantations should be alot cheaper than expanding a factory.

NEW PRODUCTS : i would add tones, here we should post what products we
want and see which we chose. i think cigarettes would be needed, ofc
also tobacco farms, diesel, butter, cheese, bottled milk (thats how milk
would be sold in grocery), bottled mineral water, bottled water. more
electronic products like air conditioner, washing machine, etc.
beverages could be bottled either in glass or plastic bottles. but you can't
have wine bottled in plastic bottles.

MARKET : the most important thing in such a game is how the market works. i think this is the main problem for this version.
-1st i would add a necesity index for each product. if the supply drops below that limit kapi inhabitants would buy that product @ almost any price. like computers. no matter how high the price, few people would still buy em. i think that if they would cost like 5 times more than they usually cost 1-2% of ppl would still buy computers (the rich ones). ofc this could be diffrent in every country. in rich countries (red zone) there should be a higher percent of ppl buying computers no matter how high the price.
no matter how high the price, ppl would still but food and beverages. and cigarettes. prosucts like computers and cigarettes should have such index. and a formula (demand depending of price) should exist.
food and beverages should be calculated together. if i sell tons of apples @ 10 cents pe pound, i'm sure that would affect the demand of pears at 2 dollars/pound. but our kapi inhabitants have to eat and drink something, no matter how high the prices for food would get.
same for clothes. im sure our inhabitants can't walk naked.
-2nd some relation between the demand for monitors, computers and printers. even if i sell printers for 9.99 $ while a computer is 1500 $, i find it hard to believe ppl would buy more printers than computers. if there were no monitors on the market, would anyone still buy computers?
-3rd the function demand(kapi-inhabitants) should be recalculated. the demand (of all products in total) of a population representing 1000 workers could be covered with 1000 workers. of course, we'll have more workers cus we'll hire scientists, and workers to produce construction materials. also inactive players would have hired workers not producing. this means that the total demand would stay higher than total supply, but if we all chose to produce and sell only 4 goods, the supply would overcome the demand, and no matter how higher quality and how cheap we sell, there won't be enough buyers for our goods.

TAXES & WAGES: there should be taxes for the land and building a player owns. this taxes would be payed every in game year. also, workers should get their wages every in game month. and the price we pay to hire new workers could be called recruiting bonus or sumthing. this way, players that left kapilands long time ago, would finally go bancrupt, their workers would leave to find jobs on companies that actually pay wages, and the buildings would be confiscated by the state. also, in time, i think the buildings are getting old. this could be also true in kapilands. let's say that after every in game year the structure gets a lil damaged and when damage gets real high there's a risk for the building to fall on an earthquake, while the risk for new or repaired buildings would be 0. also after producing alot, the equipment in factories would start to fail. let's make it like, after producing 10 000 TVs, 1% of the new TVs produced in that factory would be damaged and thrown away losing materials spent for it. and ofcouse, the option to repair and replace old equipment in factories to avoid failures. every manager should decide when the equipment it's too old and failures can no longer be supported. and there should be alot more failures when producing TVs, puters or printers than when producing wood toys. production costs should be lowered cus we just added many production costs. i think all these changes and market changes would make the game alot more chalanging and interesting. we could actually have companies going bankrupt. im sure that ppl that are really playing the game will be able to survive such changes and kapilands won't lose subscribers due to companies going bankrupt.

NEW PLAYERS : such a competitive market might make it hard for new players to join the game and make a profit. but they should find cheaper transport costs and cheaper materials than those that started in the first day could buy. and they could get acces to the "NOOB COUNTRY" markets and compette only with noobs like them on the market till they are experienced enough to go challange the big guys.

TRAVEL : our kapi-inhabitants mite also need transportation. they mite wanna travel. we could have airplanes to transport them big distances (between countries) but also busses, train ... for transport along the country. this would help the transporting companies to gain more money than they make from transporting goods and materials.

STOCKMARKET : we would all love to have one but it's quite hard to implement one. would be fun to have take-overs and mergers and ppl making profits by investing in other ppls companies rather than build factories or stores. i am sure it can be done if we really want to tho.

POLITICS : another addition that doesn't really have chances to be implemented. every coultry could have election every x ingame years. and we could elect a president that would get in charge to use the money we pay by taxes. these money could be used to build or improve roads, railroads, airports, ports ... helping transporters. if enough ppl would fing this ideea interesting we could find more solutions.


these are only ideeas, on each topic we can discuss and make it even better.

Seems like you could make your own Browser game :lol: , I dont see this hapining in Kapiland because all these changes you sugest would compreatly change the game.

(P.S. if you make a game like you specified then i would defently play it 8)

Without getting into any of the other parts, I'm curious how you might flesh out this travel part. I've considered that myself, and think it would be great to have player-run transportation companies. But it would have to really be a decent model of transportation, and should be able to handle player transportation needs.

For example, if I need to ship goods from my Warehouse in Saudi Arabia to someone else's in Germany, the game is going to charge me X dollars. Is there a way to arrange this where a player could offer a transportation service and make it possible for me to get the goods moved cheaper? How exactly would that work, and is it profitable for the transporter as well?

What I wouldn't like is for Transportation to be treated like any other product. I don't want to have a Producing Building: Airline, which uses power and gas to make Tickets, which I sell in Selling Building: Travel Agency. While easy to implement that kind of "travel" wouldn't appeal to me at all and I wouldn't want it done that way.

Now in my mind I have an idea for an entirely different architecture where this might be possible, but even there it's not completely worked out. So I'm curious what your specific thoughts are on the matter. How exactly would you add on Travel?

I said it both in several pms to users but also in the forum:
huge changes won't be implemented in this 3rd version of the game... for example if you are talking about new products or new buildings etc....

Such suggestions could only apply for a future version of the game...

This does, however, not mean, that a future version will be a completely different one from this one... there are several "essential" items, the owner wants to have or does not want to have at all.

It is ok to have suggestions... they are appreciated. But it would become more than "chaotic" if you just open up a thread and post there in an un-ordered way what you want to see... the list of products "you want to see" can be prolonged by thousands of products.... there has to be a main "scheme or sceleton" for a future version... and then appropriate products will be implemented.... some of the products you mention existed in former versions and had been denied by the users....

In case of any future version, there will be more than one beta version with users, who can try it. And there will be more than one option to give proposals...

For the time being, we just ask you to accept that huge changes won't be implemented... not, as they do not want to have it at all, but as there are also German versions of the game which are running much longer than this one. So lots of your suggestions have been made before and for some there is a reason why this won't be changed (example: any option which does not allow people to have a more or less longer break...)

So it is ok to post your suggestions: all threads containing suggestiions which are discussed by the users and show a picture of what users want could (!) lead to an implementation in a future version... and all suggestions are also seen by the programmers... that means, that minor changes are being done immediately, what we did in the past several times now... major ones do not disappear from the forum... they are still standing here and can be read by them...

But do not open up threads for future versions... that's too early and this thread here shows that nobody can get any overview if we have threads like this by any user...

Thee transport one has really got me thinking i reckon we should have a car factory make trucks as well and use these as transport but i spose it makes the game to complicated and different but some one make a browser game with all the suggested stuff it would be cool.
