Game:
Players can choose from 19 different production buildings, 11 stores, 6 research centers(RC), 14 "special buildings" and 33 administration buildings(VIP membership required) to create their own unique company. There are three different "areas" with a total of 8 different countries where buildings can be build. Each country has its own pros and cons. Players can sell/buy products to the NPC or real players via contracts, the marketplace and stores(buildings).
Getting Started:
While a player is registering they can choose to play the tutorial first. The tutorial explains and allows the player to learn about the basic function of the game. (How to build buildings, set production, research, sell in stores, use the marketplace and contracts.) A new company starts off with 680.000 caps (the monetary system of Kapilands) and a large amount of necessary resources to contruct buildings and start production.
Understanding the different Areas:
There are three Areas in Kapilands: green, yellow and red. Each have their pros and cons aswell as different countries to build in.
The GREEN area is called the "Farming Area". It consists of three countries: Mauritania, Mali, and Congo.
Pros: Low wages, Low building and production costs, "Farming" resources develop 25% faster outputs (Plantations, Fruit plantations, and Cattle-breeding buildings).
Cons: Low spending capacity
The YELLOW area is called the "Raw Material Area". It consists of two countires: Saudi Arabia and Oman.Kapilands.com wrote:Area with the lowest building and expansion costs. Employees are satisfied with low wages. The downside of this is that they also have a low spending capacity: Goods can only be sold at low prices. Due to the perfect climatic conditions, agricultural products are produced 25% faster than in other areas. Despite this cost-efficiency, don't underestimate the shopping and handling costs to other areas.
Pros: Mines and Wells deliver 66% faster outputs
Cons: Medium wages, Low spending capacity, Medium building and product costs
The RED area is called the "Industrial Area". It consists of three countires: France, Germany and Turkey.Kapilands.com wrote:Average building and expansion costs and acceptable wages. Note that the inhabitants don't spend too much on goods. Due to the large amount of raw materials, mines and wells deliver 66% faster than in other areas.
Pros: High spending capactiy, RCs research 20% faster, Factory buildings produce 25% faster output
Cons: High wage level, High building and production costs
Kapilands.com wrote:This area has a high spending capacity. At their wage levels, the inhabitants can afford to live in luxury. The inhabitants' high level of education accelerates researches by 20% and the production of industrial goods by 25%. That's why this areas has the highest building, expansion and production costs of Kapilands. Producing in cheaper countries will however lead to a diminished demand and despite the high selling prices, the turnover figures would be low.
Products and Production Buildings:
There are 102 different products available to produce in 19 different buildings. Products include everything from seeds and apples, chocolate ice cream and candy, Beds and Wardrobes to Cars and Televisions. While buildings range from Plantations to Butcher's shops and TV Stations. There are two main types of products: raw materials and everything else.
Raw Materials:
Raw materials are the blood of the game. Stone, Steel and wood are needed to expand and build every building while power, water and/or seeds are required to make any product.
Production Buildings:
