Since there is so far not much information about different formulas, I decided to post some which I found in the german board:

1) Increasing of the production time (the number in brackets is the increasing compared to the level merchant)

Merchant --> Retailer : 13,33% (13,33%)
Retailer --> Trader : 5,88% (20%)
Trader --> Small Businessman : 5,56% (26,66%)
Small Businessman --> Businessman : 2,63% (30%)
Businessman --> Upmarket Businessman : 2,56% (33,33%)
Upmarket Businessman --> Manager : 2,50% (36,66%)
Manager --> Entrepreneur : 2,44% (40%)
Entrepreneur --> Large Scale Manufacturer: 2,38% (43,33%)
Large Scale Manufacturer --> Industrialist : 2,33% (46,66%)
Industrialist --> Billionaire : 2,27% (50%)
Billionaire --> Big Industrialist : 2,22% (53,33%)
Big Industrialist --> Tycoon : 2,17% (56,66%)
Tycoon --> Financial Mogul: : 2,13% (60%)
Financial Mogul: --> Capitalist : 2,08% (63,33%)
Capitalist --> Trillionaire : 2,04% (66,66%)

2) The time you need to research something:

I changed the formula to another one I found on the german board, please try out if it is exactly enough.
I didn't think on this german help-site would be so much wrong information ^^...... :shock:

sorry, but the time in selling stores will alway be a mistery, in the german board we discussed a lot about it, but without any result :cry:

ad percentages depending on the level

Merchant = 30
Retailer = 34
Trader = 36
Small Businessman = 38
Businessman = 39
Upmarket Businessman = 40
Manager = 41
Entrepreneur = 42
Large Scale Manufacturer = 43
Industrialist = 44
Billionaire = 45
Big Industrialist = 46
Tycoon = 47
Financial Mogul = 48
Capitalist = 49
Trillionaire = 50

production = Merchant's production * 30 / level

bump :roll:

Mods/Admin is there any chance of getting this made into a sticky, just bumped it from middle of 3rd page.

I personally find it a very useful thread, and have refered to it serval times, in some vague attempts at predicting what the promo effects will be. I just look at numbers and do rough calcs in my head.

thanks

You could save the information in an excel file.

admitly true

but what about the newer players joining the game, they are unlikly to search the forums for this info, which will result in extra questions about this, I've already linked to this thread at least once, in reply to someone elses questions.

i also think this should be a sticky many of you are saying that i am "useless posting"(david) others say that i use it to get my post count up (Azer) but i do ttruely think that this is a very helpful thread and needs to be a sticky

And yet a self-defeating argument. Had you read the stickies that are already in this forum, you would have seen links to many useful threads including this one.

Thus by asking for a sticky you are demonstrating that you don't actually pay attention to them. QED.

That's why the "Guide to Guides and Helpful Threads" is there - because if we made a separate sticky for everything people thought was useful, everyone would have to scroll past (and ignore) two pages of them before seeing relevant content.
