I vote for Cocoa...
But If I'll be able to chose I would prefer a Wine contest or a Beer contest, like some rural fairs ^_^

We just had a wine contest quite "recently".

But I think beer would be interesting because lots of corn is needed for it so getting the ingredients would be tricky. I alone would need 5 million corn a day. :o

I have already voted for chemicals, as I said in a previous post, but I wouldn't mind stones winning, either. :D

I am afraid that an NPC contest like stones would
1. suck too much cash out of the games economy
2. resulting in a scarcity of $K
3. and probably cause a serious deflation problem.

I vote for anything but stones.

?

There will never be a cash problem in Kapilands as billions of cash is created every day via stores. I have never thought there would be deflation in Kapilands except maybe in coins.

PS: most people that win contests pay in excess of 5Bn and never caused any deflation, stones will make the quantity eneter just increase probably no bigger amount of cash spent.

Maybe this is a non-issue, because it seems they would disable the npc during a contest, but I need to respond anyway....

The 5 billion you refer to went to another player and therefor the money is still in circulation.

If the money goes to the npc it is out of circulation.

Also the contest buyers are limited by supply in all contests. They could collectively spend several trillion and not blink. Take that amount out of circulation and we just might have deflation.

I see no reason why we shouldn't experience a deflation. It would be something different. However I voted for Chemicals.

There is billions coming into the game daily via stores, most people taht win contests are very profitable and have a large amount of cash built up. As I have said deflation is VERY RARE in Kapilands and usually only affects the coin markets.

With the price of coins thewse days new players have almost no chance of getting premium unless they donate. if somehow a stone contest would lower the price of coins for the newer gusy then I would be all for it ;)

Oil cleanup equipment

Post by Guest » 23.06.2010, 11:24

How about a contest to see who can make the most tankers and booms to cleanup the Gulf of Mexico. Obama won't let them near the work site until after he has used this as an excuse to dry every last pound from British Petroleum... but if the equipment is made by unions and the ships are manned by Islamic extremists then he'd be too scared to stop the invasion as the fleet enters the waters.

unfortunetly I voted for cocoa. But I just thought about it again. It would be much more interresting with Computers, as they cost more to produce, requires more to produce, and take a lot longer time. Small companies (partly myself) could make more money that week, by selling silicon to E-Comp producers, who can sell to computer producers.
It would be quite an interresting contest that way.

In Realm 2 coins prices are at a good price...

P.S Where have all the cocoa voters come from? :?

I have only seen 3 or 4 posts in here that say they want cocoa and surely cocoa isn't that popular? :o

Indeed, there are a lot of votes for cocoa and it seems this will be the chosen product for the contest. That, of course, if the situation doesn't change. :D

I voted for cocoa because well I don't produce it and I cannot remember ever seeing a contest for that product.
