Power plant element

Post by Guest » 25.01.2007, 09:55

Currently there's no element for the power plant.

Since there is coal produced by the mine, i would like to suggest to let coal be the basic element for the power plant to produce power.

Hi,

in the first beta of the German Kapiland there was coal the basis for power. But this did not work because it was absolutely unbalanced.

Makes sense to me. Under those conditions, the coal industry would have complete control over every other form of production.

Thats slightly scary, actually.

Yes and no. Today the power industry could have complete control over every other form of production. Since there is the NPC that's not the case.

The major problem was the loop:
You need coal to produce power. To produce coal you need power and water (for which you need power again). Did I mention that you need coal to produce power..? ;-)

  since there is NPC and power is Q0 and one could buy as many as he/she wants at a fixed price, then the power plant is pretty out of place.

Well, take wind mills as technology upgrade for power plant to pull away from using coal

Kind of boring to have a power plant that keep generating without any input. Think further!
