I am sorry, but this version of the game won't get new products.

This would be an issue for future versions... but I really do not know whether it is likely to be implemented.

i think resturant dishes would get too specified, and leave the rest of the game totally useless ... i mean, there could be 50 different dishes u could make; meat and potatoes, shepards pie, chicken a la king, etc. and it does absolutely nothing for anything other than people rivaling grocery stores.

The first two versions of the game had restaurants and kitchens. You were able to have 3 different meals... as far as I know they had been taken out of the 3rd version as players did not really want them and one of the reason was exactly that what Getus said: people were able to make more profit by selling potatoes etc directly in the grocery.

I like the idea of a restaurant too,
not new products necessarily but more of an NPC buyer building.
You could sell the same items to it, potato's and sausage, etc but at a lower price without waiting on someone to buy them.
But you could only sell them a max amount of items per day.

Suppose the NPC restaurant only bought 50,000 beef or beer per day, first come first served, then everybody would have to wait till tomorrow.

1st i think they could be a nice addition if they were well banalced and there would be a market for both groceries and restaurants.

2nd im totally against NPC buildings that buy a number of goods @ an arbitrary established price. that would totally be against a free market.
