THE POWER DETAIL EVERYONE WANTS TO KNOW

Post by Guest » 30.12.2008, 13:36

Here is a very important statistic I want to give everyone in Kapi.
It was done by the R&D Department of Power Producers Union:-

Total Power bought in a week: 21 trillion $

The average increase in income of power companies is 200%.

The Union has observed that in the past few days, there is an external pressure on the market.. which will be comabted with by a supply cut of 5 billion power daily.

How did you evaluate this? ;)

Well its a calculation, that has been taken by the R&D department.
We cannot disclose the price at which this has been done as it will tell you what is the demand in the market.
After the supply is pretty easy to guess, hence I cannot disclose the figures.

However, we just keep a close on the power market daily(every minute) and then assess the condition at the end of the week..

This OPEC like strategy seems to be good but according to your statistics, your supply cut will be less than 0.00625% of the demand. So, will this help with so low a drop in supply.

please dont mind my asking as i am neither a power producer nor on realm1. just asking coz i am curious

these are steps to keep the market cool...
we don't want to much cash in the power market..
can be dangerous

For me, this cut does not mean anything, because since the raise of power prices I have always purchased energy from NPC (about 500 million/day), besides having started to expand my own power plants. And if all power buyers do the same, the producers would be completely strangulated and would have to cut their prices in way to sell their power.

steps are fine but i feel the magnitude is too small to have much of an impact.
like i said less than 0.0006%.

Better strategy will be to reduce supply by a greater amount. Ask your members to start expanding with whatever cash they have. Say all members expand 70 buildings at a time. It will be a supply shock which can have some impact on market.

Well I must thank you for this beautiful initiative of yours.
Every time you buy power from NPC you take out liquidity from the system.
This in turn increase the inflation here.
There is another reason I would like to thank you, when you buy power from NPC, you pay more and increase your cost.
Once you increase your cost, you sell at a higher price, thereby again contributing to inflation.

OH!!!I forgot to mention, we are cutting power supply again by another 15 billion. Please be noted that this is a temporray adjustment.
As soon as market restabilizes, we will pump 20 billion more into the market again..

You are welcome

That's not true, cause all my cash is also taken from the system thru my stores (and I take more than give).
Farm wrote:This in turn increase the inflation here.
Well, at my point of view, it's been the power producers who have increased the inflation of the market with prices of power between 0,24 and 0,27. I don't mind to pay 0,20 for each unity when it cost to produce 0,03 (in red; it's cheaper in green), but to pay more than 0,22 it's insane, it would be the same if I sold my Q25 Wardrobes for 8.000,00 each or even sell Cabriolets for 800.000,00 each no one would buy them.

As I told before I am selling my production on my own stores, and I only made a few adjustments on prices to keep my profit margin, and don't worry with my costs, cause I am still selling and getting profits, but if you don't sell your power on the market you don't have any profits, only costs (production and 10% of fee for the market), and start to see your cash diminish, till you don't have money to produce.

Cut all your power supply please, cause I still have NPC and my own production.

I can only conclude thru your considerations on severall posts in this forum is that if you could you would like to make all power buyers to pay 1,00 or more for each unity (instead of inflation we shure would have super inflation around here).

Happy New Year

I totally agree with you SiberianTiger we should all buy more power from the NPC. I used to do that when i was producing stones. But now that i produce Gold i'm forced to find some power supplier.
It should be interesting to see how much this guys will cut off their power production once the company "My self - Capitalist" finishes its expansions.
I mean 100 power plants fully expanded could produce quite a bit of power....hehe.
What was the point of the power production cut again?. Power price is alredy at NPC price. Do you want to sell it for 0.28

with 100 fully expanded power plant in red, he will only be able to produce 3.7billion power a day, so i don't think this will change the price.

And you must not forget one thing: Selling NPC-products above NPC-price is considered as a trade with unallowed advantage.
So should not sell power for more than 0.27 Caps unless you want to risk a ban of your account.

Please do not discuss this. Just take it into consideration and follow my small "hint".
