Premium Account Buildings

Post by Guest » 18.06.2008, 21:13

My premium ran out this evening, before I bought another month I noticed that out of my 100 building only about 10 of them were usuable while I didn't have premium status.
Surely I should have 40 buildings? Or did I sell some of my standard building and build more premium ones? (if you get what I mean?)

Is this normal?

Hmm, good question ... but since you already bought a new premium that would be hard to test ... other than by looking and checking if the majority of your buildings are premium buildings, I think. But I can see if I can find out anything.

It is normal - it is a great bug

And normally you should have even 60 buildings after premium acc runs out.
But: every building you bought when you have premium acc is marked as a premium building.
Worst case: you have 60 buildings before - buy 40 new ones - sell 50 old ones and buy bigger ones on the market  afterwards your "normal" acc will have only 10 buildings left.

If you want to play on without permium you now have to contact the support to solve this problem for you

Okay, I have checked with our programmers. They have tried to work it out before, but it looks like it's not possible from a programming point of view.

The best thing is to make sure you don't sell or delete the buildings you had before buying a premium account - everything you buy once you have one will automatically be marked as premium.

It is a shame. My situation is that I used to play this game and it became quite addictive to me - so to show how powerful I was I gave it up as a new years resolution. (back in the new year coins were fairly affordable) - I come back 6 months later and my profit has not kept up to the price of coins. So that now about a quarter of my monthly profit is spent saving up for coins.
Without coins I have about 10 useable buildings :(

The problem ist that you'd have to change the entire database in order to change this setting. That wouldn't just mean a couple hundred working hours, but also having to take the entire game offline for at least a day, maybe even two.

Now since we have more than 100.000 players in this game, that's just not realizable. We generally get complaints if the server's offline even for just 5 minutes, imagine what would happen if this was for one or two days? If you really can't afford the Premium anymore, then our support can help you sort out your account so you can use your other buildings again. Let me know and I'll pass it on!

You are just afraid of losing income by angering players.
For this, players have to sacrifice usability and the freedom to play coin-free.

well, you are just behave like the common capitalist. good example

I once searched and found a post about this topic shortly after my first premium ran out. There, it was written down, that a player can contact the admins to correct this normal-buildingslot-conversion, but only if he really wants to stop using coins forever

so you have to stay chained to coins. alternatives are going bankrupt or mad by nurturing 60 buildings manually ;)
