product selection in producing

When you produce something in a factory or whatever and you have more then one quality of the items needed sometimes it just chooses which one to use without asking what quality you want.

for example, I want to make something that requires plastic. In my warehouse I have a Q0 and a Q2. I select the item I want produced and instead of letting me decide which to use it chooses for me.... -.- and messes things up if you know what I mean. Even though I had plenty of each.

Sometimes it does let you choose, but what I would like to see implemented is for it to always let us choose which quality we want to use.

would that be possible?

normally this should not be a problem.

lets say you want to produce 1000 gas

you have 200 oil q1 and 190 oil q2

200*5=1000
190*5=950

so the system will not give you the choice. it will take q1 because q2 isnt enough. if you would have 200 of both it would let you choose ...

so just take care how much you produce....

yes I understand what you mean. but I had enough of both products and it chose the lower quality without asking me to choose. maybe it was just a one time thing, I made the same product again and this time it let me choose.... maybe I was dreaming last time.

Could you pls observe this when producing the next time? If it does not make you chose the quality although you have enough of the material required there is a bug in it.
