What would happen if someone where to buy up all the cheap products leaving really expensive products on the market? It has happened before and would take even longer to get prices back down to normal.

It would work for some products but not others. Not all products are close in range or have NPCs selling them.

I think it would harm the cheaters more if the punishments were delayed a bit. Rather than booting them immediately, wait a few days, or some hours of login time, *then* boot them. I like the popup button, and there's also Google's system of registering accounts to cellphones.
Just some patrolling to catch obvious cheats should really cut down on cheating. Offhand, it doesn't seem very efficient. At the current coin exchange, K680000 is less than a euro. As long as the transfer is more work than setting up a couple of exchanges the effective wage is pretty low.
Edit: within 20% of market price could apply only to Merchants. That would make most markets operate pretty normally but still annoy cheaters. But, perhaps a better way would be to catch them algorithmically. For that cheat method to work, a player has to be chronically selling below cost, which few players do (people often sell below market, or below fair value, but rarely below cost). Just have the system ID accounts that buy mostly from accounts selling chronically below cost and lock them up.

OK, just to be clear what a cheater do :
a) He has a "real account"
b) one day he feel so poor, so decide to create 30 accounts
- with each of this accounts he sells the starting steel, wood and stones at ridicoulous prices, and inmediatelly he is buying this stuff with the account in a) it's like transfering the initial money to his real account.
If the steel has an NPC at 135, it would be logical to have a range of 120/135 to sell or buy at Q0, same as wood, stones, etc.
And the same can be implement to other not critical markets.
What do human to recognize a cheater? just see the PRICE he sell his stuff, if you see 1.000 steel Q0 at 10 kapis, bet this is a cheater. But this work can be done by the system so why don't it do it???

played SFU unifaction wars to ,and the anti-bot system in it as verry good ! and simple to create .
Add the thing to log in like german version to that , and No bot will appear .
Forcheaters , we should have a group of ' cheater hunters ' who could immidetly ban some1 , and after a closer look for the mod , he could be un-baned , or permanent banned .

Every day i report cheaters everyday they get banned so its not working or there wouldnt be cheaters ive been playing this game for several months now and if i was to count the number of people ive reported for cheating it would amount to 1000's thats just too bad for an online game that can cost 100's of euros to play ............................................. come on owners get real KICK the cheats or loose your player base..............

It's easier to catch cheaters that buy/sell at 10 than it is to catch ones that buy/sell at 120.cygnus wrote:

Catching/banning cheaters is horribly easy to do, it is just time consuming. If cheaters really are getting away with it, it is not the process but the amount of time the moderators have to spend to catch them

As a paying member I agree with CMB. Cheating is rampant and detracts from the whole experience.
From what I have seen, the starting capital is not really the problem. The main problem is the raw materials that new companies start with.
I know a lot of people sell it to grow faster, but if there were some sort of restrictions placed on the sale of these items (min/max price for q0 steel, wood and stones for Traders) the cheaters would not have such an easy time to boost their real account.
