I would like to work from home, but I only have Windows 98. Would you like to help me financially? Alas, and at home I haven't got a Rolex, yet....

Is a "Rolex" a watch? or something on your desktop you keep contact details in? :?

I would work from home if only my boss would buy me a new Merc-Benz.

Yep, a Rolex is an expensive watch (and sometimes a really aweful one and boasting people like these watches 8) ).

They're not bad, but the reputation (and price) has significantly outstripped the quality. Like many things in life, they are popular simply because they're popular.

Unfortunately, Patek Philippe is starting to get that stigma as well. Personally I love a nice Omega, but also have a special appreciate for A. Lange & Sohne, Girard-Perregaux, and of course IWC.

And just to show that popularity isn't all it's cracked up to be, Rolex gets about a thousand angry calls a month saying "This [manual] watch is so expensive, but it loses a minute a month! My friend's [quartz] Seiko is more accurate!" I guess some people just shouldn't have nice things if they don't actually know what they're buying.
