Please do not SHOUT!

The point is that the carrier won't carry your goods to somebody else without being paid. Therefore you need to pay the fee beforehand.

Sorry Mamphil!
I didn't have any intention to shout!
i just wanted to emphasize on my point!
Maybe from next time I will only bold it!

or maybe you so called businessmen should stop undercutting each other that way your not selling 100k units of product for $0.09

i bought the oil on market that was under $26 and resold it for 30 each easy. if you guys make a union for certain products everyone would make money instead of making a product price drop more then half in less then a week, its effin sad.

P.S.

sorry if my above post sounded rude, its just tickin me off that ya'll are undercutting each other then wonder why it costs so much to make so little.

But isn't that the whole purposed of the game. Simulation of the real world. Undercutting is bound to happen to see who needs its more, demand and supply theory.

Union? Don't think that would work here or in the real world. Its like asking everyone to stop getting their supply in China, and buy only developed nation products :)

At the end, its easier to just build the shops and get supply from people making 0.01 margin and sell it back to NPC :)

no no no.

for example:
microsoft, Compaq, Dell, and MAC, ect.

what do they have in common? anyone know?

they all have computers for almost the same price depending on what type of computer you buy, example:

Laptops: avg= $900 to $3,500
Desktops: avg= $500 and up.
PDA: avg= $40 to as much as $500 (prices depend on carrier plans)

they all have a price basis, they have their bottom line crappy computers, and then they have their upper class higher speed computers, many variables. but if you look at the price for parts that go into them they are about the same any way you look at it, it just depends on the quality.

Don't mock my idea of a union again =d lol

Hahah, wasn't meant to mock your idea in any way :P Just trying to have a discussion as i saw that it was an interesting topic thats all :)

But as you say, the key word you use was "Quality". And since people aren't (at least for now) concerned about that, hence price war. And since there is so many players doing the same thing hence, price war again. As for raw material, worst still, there is no Q to play with. So its the game of who sell it off first.

Your assumption was correct if we are talking about niche market. Probably that was the case early of the game, or if you are doing something that only have less then 5% of the total player doing, then its easier to control the price. What (prob. water, power, gas, oil) are facing now its like having a union for plastics makers around the world, or even rice maker. I mean, how can you convince a 1st whole countries to sell the same price as a 3rd world (or vice versa - back to their respective place). It back to survival then and even better, just build ur own gas station or capitalize on the low price for your bigger gains :)

What are you referring to?
Are you out of your mind or something?
Here we are referring about forwarding charges & you are talking about quality!

lol, this topic owns. were like totaly into prices and kiloling innocents along the way. freakin awsome lol.

but yeah, none taken. I was just using a medafore to explain, but my point got confused cause i wrote it at like 4 am.

i was going to build a gas station, then i found out its too expensive to buy corn and water off public market, cost about $180 for cattle thats worth about $110.

but the forwarding charges aren't a big deal. i mean:

you sold 900,000
@ $0.07 ea
sold product for: $63,000.00
forwarding charges: $810.00
total profet from sale minus forwarding charges: $62,190.00

and your worried about forwarding charges for pennies?

See!
You have a point there!
But that is the case if my contract is accepted but if he did not accept it I have a loss!
So my point is that forwarding charges should be collected after the contract is accepted.

Napster , the forwarding prices are for SHIPPING your product ,
like in real life , products don't magically appear in the customer's warehouse... they have to be Shipped there , ofcourse you PAY for that , nobody will ship your products for free , and you have to send your products before selling , so he can "inspect" and make sure the product's quality is good enough ;)

But i mean, its like part of the game i supposed. But in real life, one will no occur any charges especially forwarding charges, until the sale is firm. I mean why would anyone call DHL, FEDEX and pay them to send things over to a buyer that was not firm?

If you were talking about inspection, well this game there isnt fraud cases where you say you sell banana Q4 but ended up the receiving side gets seeds Q0 right? heehhe :P

I will say ppl will agree if there is erm, "contract fee" where you hire a lawyer + banks to prepare LC / contracts etc. for sales, which is ok, but forwarding charges maybe not :)

So suggestion: New fee "contract fee" at prob. 50% of the forwarding charges atm, and if its a firm sale, the seller just have to pay 50% more, and if not, well bye bye 50% :) What say you ppl :)

what ?!?! 50% from every accepted contract? no way lol ,
even if you want the "contract fees" there will still have to be forwarding fees :P
