I think that there should be a break in the contest, like a week in between to give those players with money a chance to buy some of our other stuff besides just what the contest is for. :x

I noticed after the lemon contest I started selling more and more stuff, since those players were now buying other things besides just lemons.
It really is killing my sales, no nobody is buying anything, the money made on the contests are only going to build production for the contest, so not only are the players who have the money NOT spending it on other stuff besides what the contest is for but the players getting the money are not spending it on other stuff either. :evil: :evil:

So now my only customers are the people who don't read the newsletter or the message board. :x

Or maybe you should have a scoreboard to show who is winning so those players who know they have no chance stop throwing all their money away and buy something more useful, like pullovers, which they won't be able to do anymore now that the contest is for wool. :evil: :evil:

There is a scoreboard in the stats page, and I don't think that will stop people trying as you get points for finishing in the top 100

stop whining.

If there's a problem with your strategy you adapt to it.

You could always produce the contest items as they come out.

I made a fair bit off the uh, cotton the other week or so from just four plantations.

Maybe get into an industry that's not so sensitive to... oh, i dunno, fickle producers with "big money"?

You could sell to the little guys, maybe.

I don't think contests are screwing up any production, at all.

At least not mine.

and having a scoreboard of people who are winning the contest would make contests unfun.
