new realm - is it worth it?

new realm - is it worth it?
my friend keeps going on about a new realm.. firstly is this true or not?
well anyway i think its pointless, not that many people even play kapilands, there are never many products on the market or anything and probably atleast 50% of users havent been active in 2years.
instead of making a new realm, just revamp the current realms, make some new products, make the graphics a bit better.
anyway, how long would it take to start up a new realm, a few years atleast, as no one will have any money to start with so all the prices will be low and will take years to get them up. i say get more players on realm 1, if there isnt any space, delete the people who havent been active in over 3years.

Here is what i don't get about the arguement "the first two realms should be full before we add a third!"
--> The population of both realms is actively decreasing. To figure this out, i would look at the premium users, not the regular accounts. VIPs are generally more active players, regular accounts are either VIPs that aren't active anymore or people who just quit the game.
--> To refer to the above point, the population of both realms is going down, which means less coins purchased, and less money to run the servers. On the flipside, when a realm first starts, loads of people buy loads of coins trying to be the biggest on the new realm. This is a way to immediately gain a fair amount of money, and in addition, a lot of older players would come back and play on r3, possibly ressurecting their accounts on r1 and r2, and we're back to more profit to run the servers.
I've recommended some things before, even though i'm not exactily server savvy. First, there are two seperate servers that run r1 and r2, correct? I would partition one of the two servers, and run both on one server, then use the second server to run realm 3. Personally, i would launch r3 right now with the current client, then you could launch realm 4 when the new client is done (germany welt 6?). The longer you wait, the harder it gets to retrieve your business.
To the OP, the lack of population and market saturation in realm 1 and 2 is caused by a lack of long term interest in the game. In other words, once you expand to max size, there isn't much to do anymore, so players just quit. It has nothing to do with the game not being interesting, it has to do with not quite enough stuff to do once you are maxed size. Thats just the way it goes i guess, it's not really anyone's fault, this is one thing that i wouldn't blame anyone associated to the making of kapilands for.
Just my 2 cents.

Oh, and realm 3 is in the pipeline, it's just that no one can tell us when it's going to come. The active plan right now is to make realm 3 when all the bugs are worked out of the newest german realm, which is basically a big update to the game. Then they will translate it to english, and we will get realm 3.

TBH i would be happy if they scrapped the idea of R3 and just brought out kapiworld instead, only in it's beta on .de but found it very easy to get the hang of, it's very similar to kapilands but seems a bit more thought out, grapics wise not the best but way ahead of R1/R2 kapilands (not played welt6 can't get on it)
thanks for your opinion guys, just one thing. you said more people will buy coins on r3 to become the biggest business, but that surely cant be true. who would you sell the coins to? if every one starts with 680k, coins are going to be basically worthless, its not until players become super rich that they buy coins for high prices. also no one will need to buy them because it will take a while to build 60buildings and expand them and then have the money to build 40 more. theres no point having 100buildings at 20m2 each.
i do agree with you though that it will get people playing r1 and r2 again

Here are some more interesting links for you about realm 3.
And to sum up all the information:
At the moment it would not be "worth" to start a third realm. But it will come when R1 and R2 cause too much traffic by too many players.
About www.kapiworld.de: Yes, NYK, this is indeed the open beta of that game. So unfortunately it will still take some time until it will be released in German officially and even some more time until we will see this game in English. Yet it will be a completely new game, based on ideas from Kapiland(s) but also some completely new ideas.

You're just going to have to trust me, lots of people do. Realm 1 is essentially done. You can buy a few coins, expand to max, come back in a year, and you're done. Realm 3 would be a new opprotunity, to become the biggest. The maximum FA is already taken on r1, no one can be the biggest anymore, because everyone is already big.
Please, if i am wrong, i would love the upjers to correct me. I think that it is a safe assumption that more people buy coins near the begining than the end of the realm.
PS - the reason prices are so high is because no one wants to buy coins anymore, but yet people still want premium.
Thanks,

In the very beginning everyone is small, and these 50k will let you grow faster in the few days than everyone else

making you grow faster in the future, making you the 'best'

I am afraid it is not just not hard, it is indeed very hard. The new version is based on an updated version of the current game-code, and it is quite impossible to simply add features of the new server to the current game-worlds.
This cannot be done, and is not being done on the German servers either. So I am afraid, as I said - it is simply not possible.

There have been lots of smaller changes during the past months already, that went by completely unnoticed or at least uncommented.
The banner-contest introduced by the editing-team also was somewhat lacking in participation. I agree, these aren't the major changes you are thinking of, but they do show that the game is not just being maintained but cared for as well.
I am also posting new info via Facebook and Twitter on a regular basis, informing everyone about new releases of the paper, for instance. The rates of Facebook users reading these alerts keep increasing per week, as are our Twitter-followers. So the word about Kapilands is being spread as well - which means, new users.
So as you can see, things are progressing, and not at a stalemate.
