Forwarding Charges
I feel that forwarding charges should only be taken if the contract is accepted!
I'll tell you why!
Someone tells another person he wants say 20K Oil at 20$
Now the guy who wants is trying to play a joke on this supplier & knows he is very far from him!
The supplier pays like 30$ to send him the contract as forwarding charges!
Once the customer gets the contract he says he is not interested & refuses it what happens to the contract!
It just gets cancelled & who hs to suffer the supplier who payed 30$ for forwarding the contract to him!
This is why I feel forwarding charges should be only taken after a contract is accepted!

Just a sec
The customer says he wants it!
Then if he refuses it he should be charged for sending it back!
And besides it is not necessary that it has to be 30$!
It can be way over!

Hang on - what if it was like .. the contract is offered, not sent then offered, so no forwading charges are paid.Drvic enterprises wrote:you send some stuff somewhere, so you have to pay for the transport
Think realistically - would a business send the whole lot halfway across the world if they were'nt actually guaranteed a sale? No, they may send a sample, but i doubt it.
I know for a fact if this is a simulater business world game, then i base forwarding charges on this:
when a company such as wal-mart buys a product, and they dislike the quality, it is sent back to their supplier and the supplier must pay the shipping charges.
And at the expense of the supplier selling 20k oil, normaly they will look for some one buying the product, or just sell small quantities on the pub market, and most the time you get some one who wants to buy from you daily.
so if you ask me the forwarding charges are extreamly fair considering if you had to sell on pub market you would be paying 10% before you even sell them! and the worst part is that your product may sit there for days, even weeks! atleast in a contract you get your product back.

The forwarding charges are fair, it's just the timing of them, imo.
What I'm saying is:
-You're company offers some water to another company.
-They wait for the company to respond, before sending the materials/products
-After a deal is made the goods are sent and the forwarding charges are paid.
That's how I think it should work, it would mean that players would be unable to play jokes on other companies by making them pay high forwarding charges, as well as other things..

but thats the point, the entire games based on business simulation.
i'll gladely risk $0.34 to sell 1,000 oil thru a contract. even if its just a hoax its a possable sale.
think of it as a lemonaid stand, each day you make 1 pitcher of product, aprox: 12 cups sold for $0.50 each. but you take out:
$0.05 for each cup.
$0.07 for straw and lid
$0.15 for the lemonaid.
you end up making a profet of $0.23 off each cup.
BUT THE CATCH IS! what if no one buys your lemonaid?
then you lose the lemonaid you made, which cost $1.80.
if you sell it you made $6.00
but if they choose not to buy your product, you lose money. maybe next time you'll make a few sales.
business= you make money, you lose money. go on with it =)
Besides, its not like you didn't mark up your product 100% anyway, so if the first person doesn't buy, the next one who does buy you'll have enough profet to not worrie about the loss

You usually negotiate on selling your products. So if you send out a contract with lemonade, you should have had contact with the customer and he should have agreed on taking your products.ScottyPenatilliIndustries wrote:

If he does not take them, then he is not a good customer and should find his name on something like a personal blacklist... I think 85% of the players here accept any contract they agreed upon before.
On the other hand, you should not send out contracts to people without them knowing that they will get a contract of you.
but the point is
See I have to pay 90$ to get my 100K water contract forwarded!!
The point is not who is to pay the transaction fee!
THE POINT IS THAT THE TRANSACTION FEE SHOULD BE ONLY TAKEN AFTER THE CONTRACT HAS BEEN ACCEPTED!

The point is that the carrier won't carry your goods to somebody else without being paid. Therefore you need to pay the fee beforehand.
