I agree with the first bit, but then I couldn't be bothered to read the rest.

Took some ten mins to read. Well, I agree with anything, just hope that if any change is done war won't be implemented.

I am waiting goldeneye to reject the ideas, hehe

I like the collectiables thing, there should be few things randomly placed in the market (except for the ones that show's all the items) and are cheap, and there is a limited amount :)
so around 50 piece's should be anough, and collectors will pay good prices for it :)

Yeah, I really encourage that! :D

I read it all.

I think you could add a summary to help people with little time.

I totally agree with several of your points. After a while it will become all the same. It already is getting in an oilgarchy. Though Upjers seems totally un-aware. It is good for the big players but bit boring for us small people.

Status symbols would be good to improve, mandatory cap on the sale of some symbols, eg, there will only ever be 100 V12 red Racer's on a realm. It would make it more interesting.

The quests do need sorted out. If I get contacted for a quest I have a complete list of everything and in developed realms people have already loaded the market with the appropriate quality. Also the fact Special buildings, you know what will be needed the market has been totally inflated, random items could be asked with quality specifications. The mob thing is funny and would enjoy.

The building numbers is a problem and it goes to the old problem, annoying programmers. The building size is limited by maximum number that can be processed in c short programming language (that is postitive) and we can't fix that unless we toatlly re-program kapilands in a different programming language. Number of buildings i think comes down to sever speed, people have 300 buildings would slow down load time and would be even more unfair to smaller people. Like the idea but totally im-practicle, agreed?

syndicates would be brilliant and they had similar syndicates on the French Forum, just using normal accounts and declared it on the forum, but DuffHead (I think) removed it. French Kapilands had your prposal in all but name and supported it but change of Admin and it failed. Easy to implement and would get the syndicates active again, though would be in teh disadvantage because of TIB's sheer dominance.

In game chat is possible on IGM's and if we ever get the upgrade to the forum pearlbay keep's promising, it could be implemented quite easily.

I think something also needs to be done about the fact that I could spend 50 hours a week on Kapilands, yet I don't get much more advantage compared to someone who logins in once a week for one hour. Something could be used to give the more determined player some advantage.

Though I see none of these ideas being implemented, even though some of of them are easyily implemented and would be beneficial, English Kapilands seems to have an anti-change regime in place. Goldeneye, you are a good admin but I 2000 personly think you are stuck in the past and short-sighted at the minute from your high pedastal. We need change but it never seems to appear and here are some brilliant new ideas that could help stem the tide of the max exodus from Kpailands. You even lock topics which say that Kapilands has barely changed in over 2 years. Please listen. I now in hope check Upjer's website daily that English Kapilands will advertise for a new moderator, and hopefully the luck person would not be as conservative as the current staff.

Felix this was brilliant and it wasn't 2 hours wasted. Some of these ideas are good and I hope people bother reading them (including the Support Team).

Someone tell GoldenEye to read this, but I don't think he will agree.

These are big changes and the programmers don't like that.

He is not a programmer. he is not employed by Upjers but does this for free and is really good to us but he doesn't like changing stuff. Upjers (according to mys sources) only has 6 employees , (but can only name 5).

I know, but only GoldenEye checks here. :)

And he has made no comment yet.

Been thinking about the syndicate thing. Way to introduce it without any programming, so no long waits to find out the programmers are lazy.

1. Leader of the syndicate, creates a normal Kapilands account called after the syndicate.
2.The leader then posts the syndicate number and ID on the forum and posts regular updates of the syndiacet members.
3.Then the members can create an syndicate inventory, compete in the stats, create central selling areas and compete in contests. Basically most things normal people can do.
4. Members can donate things (at cheap prices) or sell to it (for resale). As members would be declared so it can not be classed as multi-accounting.
5. The leader of the company would have full control of the account (or share details with other members) but cannot trade with the account himself (doesn't let companies start syndicates and clear it out)
6. Goldeneye allows it

This is simple and would be easily implemented and would get the syndicate industry booming again. In the early days it will be dominated by TIB but should be open for new syndicates and allow more syndicates appear.

That's not true, GoldenEye checks here often, because he 'manages the forum' and stuff.
but upjers staff does check the forums, even if they don't post all the time...

In this game it is the major thing that everyone is competing for. In most other games, including the one I'm talking about it has a side role in that it gets you things, gets you places, but not EVERYTHING can be bought, or no matter how rich you are there are always limits to how far your money will stretch.

I stopped there, first of all because i reealise your thread was going to be endlessly long,

and second of all, because i think that in a ECONOMY simulation, MONEY should get you anywhere .

Yes David, business is all about money... but Kapilands has taken the skill out of makingit, it has taken out any randomness.

Also the thing you failed to notice was that when i said that money doesn't get you EVERYWHERE I was referring to the other game  Of course if these things all came about money would still be the major role, it would just give you things to buy with the money!!!

Another idea that popped into my head just now actually was an NPC that bought food products... the food market is dead and not that fun, but if we had an NPC that could make the market rise and be worthwhile then wouldn't that be something?!
