Hint for smaller companies:

Small companies often do not have the potential to get a good ranking in a contest, as they do not have enough resources/cash to produce as many products. But if you sell the contest products to bigger companies, this is a great opportunity to earn a lot of money.

Now i wonder how small companies are going to get the research needed??

They can produce water even if there was no contest....and they could make the same profit...So this contest does no effect to the smaller companies

It was time to get high quality-contests.

Too long has been the time that players always did the same things - now there is indeed a research necessary to produce the contest product.

Thus the recent contest product is easy and difficult at the same time.
It is easy because you only need two "ingredients": water and a seeds-research. Additionally seeds can be produced in plantations that are very popular buildings.
It is difficult because you cannot produce the seeds without an adequate research. If you want to produce other products you can sometimes simply buy high-quality-"ingredients" and then produce a high quality-product.

So I am really excited what this contest will bring us.

I am not sure about this.
Of course it is possible to use 100 fully expanded plantations (speaking mostly for R1 now) and produce seeds Q12. Yet it will also depend on the market prices if the plantation-freaks send the seeds to the contest or sell it to others.
And you must not forget that there are a lot of companies that can produce their own seeds Q12, the supply will not be too low. So interested contestants will have got a lot of seeds to buy - and then it is not clear if someone with "only" 100 fully expanded plantations will have got a chance.
You only need to check the amounts that have already been send it... 20 millions for place 1 and 10 millions for place 2 in R1 - that shows the potential!

So in my opinion it's going to be very interested!

my daily sale to my retail shops is 130m.

I have 5 plantation, which can produce 5m seeds daily,

I sell at let say 30cap/seed. i will get 150m sale daily

which mean I can actaully stop all my other production and expand other factory.

this contest does benefit small company.

I dont think any1 can win the contest just by his own production. coz the market supply is many time more than the 1 with the biggest plantation.

U just need lot of money.
