a way to cancel expansion/building

Post by Guest » 03.02.2010, 10:50

i noticed you can't cancel expansion of buildings or construction of new ones, and after your first 5 buildings it takes hours to complete...

Add a Cancel feature to Construction just like with Production,
Upon Cancellation: you get all buildings materials back but the price you paid for the expansion of each m2 for workers will Not be refunded.

i thought of this when i accidentally expanded a building to 70m2 instead of just 50 m2, now i have 1 building bigger then the other 58 production buildings i own...

Also a way of demolishing a building to get a partial amount of resources back instead of selling the building back to system. would come in handy for players with small (20-500 m2) buildings who want to construct a different building in it's place, kind of like recycling an old building by getting some of the Raw Materials back.

i understand that this version of kapilands won't integrate something like this because its not exactly a simple add-on to the game, so please refrain from throwing knives at this thread (Unless Your a Ninja!) lol. Plox and Thanklez 8)

As stated above, you can cancel expansion. (Go into your building, when expanding, you will notice a button called "cancel" under your building size.) ;)

However, when you cancel all cash and building materials are lost. (Which I think is fine. You should do your research before hand.)

Realistically though the builders make the extra floor space then help make it useable.... And you've paid them. If you cancelled in real life the builders wouldn't come along and knock down the 3.5km of area they already made!

That just depends on how much you've angered them! :P

Well I don't think it should be usable because even though the floors are finished, they're not usable until the very end, that's how construction works.

Basically you'd have the extra m

Yeah but then electricity etc cost a lot less to install in a pre-fabricated already standing building, therefore next time you expand it it should be cheaper for those m2 ;)
