Wardrobes! When will it end?

Post by Guest » 30.12.2009, 06:02

i noticed ALOT of people swear by making or selling wardrobes, but heres what im not understanding...

The Numbers are not adding up!

Soo many people selling such large quantities, yet the need for them by the NPC Public is never met? come on now.

Why is the demand for minced meat and wardrobes both around 300,000?
are people using these furniture items for Skeet Shooting? (catipult needed) haha.

The entire industry for wardrobes is over-rated in my opinion, i know alot of the big companies are going to give me hell for even suggesting making the demand for wardrobes more realistic, compared with other items in kapi, the wardrobes are just not something i think should be selling so easily.

Example: 1 ninja = 1 sword for a life time, 1 kapiland family = a couple wardrobes a day? come on now. Get real.

Please reply with insight, not line of sight :D

I don't like wardrobes as well. There was once a thread like this but gave oof about wardrobes gas and jewellery. These 3 markets and wardrobes in-particularly have good profits and with all the competition it just makes them more profitable. Eventually it will crash and then it will be interesting. Though the NPC demand is so high that in most industries it can never be met, so the collapse of wardrobes is unlikely.

Is this in the right place or are you wanting the programmers to curtail wardrobe production?

they probobly wont change it (in the current realms)

but I heard the new realms in the german version have better supply-demand system,
with which makes most of the products good for selling and producing :D

it is true, it's like that for a lot of things I suppose.

Food would be the only realistic item to have a high demand, you have to eat every day.

However if they added too much realism, the wardrobe companies would only sell a few a day eventually...
Because everyones demand had been met, and only new citizens would need a wardrobe.

They need to find a good 'in between' spot whenever Realm 3 is made :P

but if your making it real like, then people would upgrade old old furniture for new stuff (higher Q research)

want to see a real disrepancy compare number of people against the number of shoes sold against leather jackets.

the rest of the people must be walking around barefoot!!

Wardrobes, the next bio fuel?

Post by Guest » 30.12.2009, 22:30

i think the suggestion for the kapilanders upgrading for higher Q items would make more since then whats currently happening with its market.

my suggestion is that the demand for wardrobes, or any other items undergoing the same problem, should be reduced considering how extream the current demand is, or atleast scale it down to what other items would be, food and beverages, and luxury items should be higher demand then a item you put clothes in. Unless the kapilanders know something i don't, like wardrobes becoming the bio fuel of tomorrow? lol.

im pretty sure i put this posting in the correct place, its a suggestion on how to improve the game, or atleast have the big companies selling meats and veggies like they currently do with wardrobes.

The Truth is kapiland citizens are buying the wardorbes for firewood and recycling the steel to China, because hte Chinese are paying more for the recycled steel from wardrobes then what they are paying for the wardrobes. But this is a top secret cover up from upjers and China.

Also they have evolved into gas guslers who drink Gas instead of food and water.

No, I'm sorry, That's probably my fault.
I have a Q0 Luxury Car and I basically have to refuel at every petrol station.

Show off :P

Yeah wardrobes should be dropped, gas is fine as people do need a lot of that daily, food should all be bought up massivley along with prices to make it much more profitable. Cars cabriolets and motorbikes might be high as well, I'm not sure!

But wardrobes definatley, I'm sure familes would buy and upgrade to a higher Q wardrobe, but not when it costs 4,000 caps+ (compare that to

Agreed

i completely agree, even of the system NPC demand values were reset, it would just happen again! The entire supply/demand should be rebuilt to make more since, and its not like the bigger companies would crash, they would just have grocery stores instead of furniture stores lol.

all agreed/opposed that hamburger helper should be the next kapilands item to replace wardrobes say ya/nay

(GTU and its representatives will not be held accountable for stock market crash of wardrobes Nor minced meat) <

tape worms, the cure to food economy!

Post by Guest » 10.01.2010, 10:58

i figured out the reason some products sell a-lot better then others...

each time you make a building, you pay an employee, that employee becomes another person with cash in their pocket for the NPC economy. but a-lot of people are making stores selling wardrobes, gas, and not many stores that sell food items. therefore every person hired from an expansion spends their money buying 1 of every item, but the system does Not repeat the demand for most other products, such as foods compared to furniture. food should be at-least x100 in demand compared to furniture.

the system is screwed up because the employees from furniture stores went and used their employee discount on a wardrobe instead of 3 months worth of groceries lol

my suggestion: Make Kapilanders Get Tape-Worms! maybe food will be more in demand Then! or at-least the pharmacies will have better business selling rid-worm :D

I have given this some thought and I think one one of the main reasons people make wardrobes is because you can get everything from the NPC. Not that I am complaining about the NPC but it would be so easy to set up a wardrobe business if you can get everything and don't have to worry about suppliers at the start of the game. Meaning people start making them in a new Realm and more people make it and so on until eventually they have all made it so lucrative that all newbies go into the market.

This is why I like people like Marxer, who went for the difficult option and has made alot of money from cabriolets or Jin who is the biggest jewellery seller. Though I don't have the guts and patience to develop a new market from the bottom but when I was experimenting with coffee powder, I could never get the price above 24. Like i was selling 50,000 daily at 35c but the averages always said it was only 24c. I think there are price caps on certain products limiting their profits thus making them un-profitable in the long term.

Since I class my English version my main account I am now starting on the French Server and going to try odd business ideas and hopefully grow one and then I migt be able to replicate it when Realm 3 eventually comes out.
