the 10% goes to the kapilands goverment, which uses it to raise an army,
which will attack burglands and the more we pay taxes, the bigger out chance to win is o.O

Depends what is your business strategy, want you rise inflation or want to slow down it. Using market you slow down inflation becouse summ of kaps ingame decreases (10% go to NPC). Example, coins or other stuff speculators want to increase inflation, so coins price increase.
I buy from market generaly steel or special building stuff only.

Once you work up a contact base the market becomes irrelivent for your business unless you trade in small amounts of speical items or are massivily ingrained in a single raw material industry (seeds, oil, power ect ect) and need overflow control. When you hit the bigger times you can also afford to hold back supply untill another buyer comes along or prices rise rather than living day-to-day on low Q margins.
Me personaly, I sell everything (except some wood sold on contract) to my own stores so no sales except the last dregs when I upgrade a Q or 2.

There's a big difference between stockpiling cash and using it to achieve your goal.
