Speaking on ROI the jewel market could be 'ok' if your only producing the necklaces. One 12k factory can punch out roughly 13k of necklaces a day. Thats 29m profit daily. Not that bad but not that good either. In R2 a full store takes 1200h to sell at max price avg so you would need 7 stores of the same size to double your profit...So what was 29m profit per space is now 3.6m :P

So in other words dont bother to sell the dang things :D Just make them and you can turn a good enough profit. In comparison a 12k mine creates 245k of stones daily x by 24 and it will make 5m avg profit daily...

As you said however the overheads are tremendous. 100m would just cover your daily needs. And the build costs are just as large.
Hope I shed some more light on the subject

ROI is important when you are starting, while you are still constructing new buildings. after that its much more important how much you make per building slot, and (this one is very important) how much a quality of research gives you.

I will elaborate it on the case of gas vs. wardrobes in r1:

One wardrobe gives you +60q, and you need 4 researched qualities to lift product quality by 1. So lets say for calculation purposes that every researched quality is worth 15 caps per wardrobe produced.

One gas gives you +1q, you need only 3 researched qualities to lift it, so its 0.33 caps per unit of gas.

now consider factory and joinery with same amount of workers, at same level, optimized. factory gas output is 14.5 times the output of joinery wardrobes output. one wardrobes research is therefore worth 15 x production of joinery, while gas research is worth only 0.33 x (production of joinery x 14.5) = 4.8 x output of joinery.

and another thing is, of course, finding decent buyers. I sell for example my wardrobes production for 3250+60q in r1, because i can make high quality and a huge amount, which results in me being able to price the wardrobes at 4750 for q25, which is probably more than many people sell their wardrobes in their stores for :D (a bit of ego boosting here :D )

Actually horizon, golden necklaces make 24 million in my level. But you need a high quality to achieve a high profit, thats whats I like about them. Also, greed is 100% right, you dont want to go spend caps on a building and take up a building slot, and makes a low profit. But I'm sorry, this topic is about choosing a good product to produce these days. I've tried gas, TVs, stones, coins, wood, power, oil, and water. Yet, I want to change to something new, no one would ever think of, Golden Necklaces. Yet, I still have a itching question, which is better to sell as a high profit, wardrobes or golden necklaces? And please do not mention other products, only vote on these :D .

Wardrobes, I am selling my own production for 9.500,00 each on my stores. About Golden Necklaces, even having a research of Q98 (I have bought that research on an Auction), I don't produce or sell them so don't have any experience on it, but with Golden Watches I produce around 20.000 daily and sell it on my stores for 19.500,00 each, so probably it would be the same with golden necklaces.

But if you are looking for something new and only a few players are producing and selling why not to try Cars, I am producing Q29 cars and selling for 290.000,00 each (cost around 165.000,00 to produce).

24m sure, I was running them through as industrlist if memory serves. Dunno why I think thats still my default on kapitools :D Also, when I say ROI I mean return on the investment per build slot not build costs. So return of 24m on one build slot irrelevant of cost to create.

Tiger I have to say thats the first time ive seen an item being produced for more than the max price cap :P Cars have the same 'problem' as necklaces. One factory can feed a dozen stores of the same size so stores are not half as profitable per slot as the facts. One question tiger whats your sell rate per 1k on avg? Just curious

Unfortunately wardrobes are geared for more profit than many items. Its a game flaw in my opinion, necklaces are still good but cant hold up to wardrobes in R2 they don

Well, Im not looking into going further than cash money brothers or big large companies, Im just looking for a good business to start. Im not looking into wardrobes because they have a high competition. By the way, if nobody noticed the market in realm 1 and product prices are hit and very terrible. We are having a large problem in realm 1, which is prices and demand and supply. Now if someone wants to write in this topic please suggest a product with a reason why and it does not have to be sold in stores. For all I'm getting is that Ronintje and Siberiantiger get the message from my topic. Thanks for all the explanations, but I only need one simple word, and its a name of a product.
