Disputing faxes
Maybe we need a shout box for disputing faxes, like the one "urgently" requesting 1B wood at 61. He doesn't have anything like 61B cash and, geez, I'd like to make a better offer of 62!
(This thread doesn't belong in the Suggestions forum, because I'm not actually asking for a shout box, just using that as a metaphor for an avenue of complaint. All we actually have is the forum, although it might be nice if we could appeal to a referee about unreasonable faxes.)

I to want 1B wood at 61.
But he doesn't claim he's gonna accept them immediatly nor does he request them in 1 contract.
So he could easily accept them during the next 3 years..
Still, if anything it is annoying.
But considering this is the way upjers is earning money i doubt they woujld consider removing them this easily.
So what use would there be for a shoutbox??
Just post your own fax stating the guy doesn't have the cash or whatever.
Or tell people 61 isn't enough in a fax...
So many options.

I don't think it is any of our business how or what anyone wants to advertise.
61 is a low price, I agree, so I doubt he will get many suppliers, and if he does and he can't pay for it it is his problem.
Warning people that the price is low, well that is up to you, if you want to waste coins on that, that is ofcourse your choice.
If people are willing to accept that low price, what is the problem?
Sure , maybe they don't know any better if they are new, but they can see the marketprice, so they can figure it out for themselves, and if not, they will learn the hard way, like all of us did at one time or another.

Yes at some point when they go low enough they will reach the limit and it is considered cheating.
I know it sounds a bit harsh what I said in my earlier reply, but that is because I learned through time in this game that some people don't appreciate advice of any kind, some even seem to consider it an insult or something, I don't know, and even though I still warn some new players when they are making a really huge mistake, (or are about to) I only do that on rare occasions and ofcourse I will try to give advice when asked.
But generally I rather let new players find out for themselves, they will never forget it that way.

Do you think there is a reason, why someone who URGENTLY wants to buy billions of CHEAP construction materials one day puts huge offers of construction material on the market at a normal price?sally wrote:Also, if somebody would have 1B wood in their warehouse, he would probably not be a newbie and know very well the value of his wood.
Well, maybe its just me being a bit howeveryouwannacallit...

What I ment was someone with 1B wood in the warehouse would know how much it is worth and would not sell it for that price to the guy in the fax...Dopamin wrote:Do you think there is a reason, why someone who URGENTLY wants to buy billions of CHEAP construction materials one day puts huge offers of construction material on the market at a normal price?sally wrote:Also, if somebody would have 1B wood in their warehouse, he would probably not be a newbie and know very well the value of his wood.

If he sold it for more then he bought it for, he is allowed to, there is no rule against that.Dopamin wrote:Do you think there is a reason, why someone who URGENTLY wants to buy billions of CHEAP construction materials one day puts huge offers of construction material on the market at a normal price?sally wrote:Also, if somebody would have 1B wood in their warehouse, he would probably not be a newbie and know very well the value of his wood.

LOL
Looking at his new fax he already bought 500M steel
Also, he obviously already had his 1B wood since he now has a 9M surplus already...
I really wonder what he's trying to achieve...
I actually think he doesn't have a clue what he's writing and he is mistaking 1000 for a million and 1M for 1B or something like that...
So his current stock of 500M steel would in fact be 500.000....
Or he is just [censored] everybody and laughing cuz people actually consider his posts to be serious...
Ah well, i'm having a good laugh thinking about him
