No telling some people.....
Well i recently advised somebody that the product they were selling on the market was too cheap.
I happen to buy this product on contract for a substantial amount more than they were selling for...
I feel I am always polite in my transactions, there was various communications....but the last reply beggars belief...
.....thats just stupid i can put my stuff on the market for anny price i want snap out of it it is just a game!! weirdo.....
Now I realise i am by no means a large player. But i always accept advice from other people, and look at the business profile of those giving it.
But sometimes you have to think what is the point?
Regards

PS does anybody have a link to the game rules about selling goods too cheap to give an unfair advantage? I have looked but cannot find it..

Just look at my signature! The link "Rules" isn't there just for show!!!
And I've had that before I told him he would get as many people buying out his product and he would earn more money to which he replied: What if I don't wanna, I wanna do what I want!" (But in much worse spelling)
And he then proceed to sell all his power on the market for 0.01... all 500k of it........... It went in a few seconds nad he never played again

Some products I sell 30% below market because I believe that even if the profit is not much I make it up with the bulk that that I sell.
I can sell it at a market price but I dont have the patient to do that so I sell it cheaper and sell a whole lot more. Thats what I call warehouse tactic.
I could be wrong but it has worked so far and I have loyal buyers and even sellers because they know that my prices are good and fair.
You need a good reason to sell those products at those prices you just cant say "because I can" LOL but oh well at the end it is up to them and the risk is theirs not yours.......

I try reasoning with the same 12 year old pretty much every day on a different game where I'm an admin... He never listens and has 3x1 day bans, 5x warns and an extended 3weeks ban... Now if he does anything stupid again he's gone for good
There is no reasoning no matter how hard you try with some people!!!

Are you selling on the market or in contract?batangwaray1 wrote:Some products I sell 30% below market because I believe that even if the profit is not much I make it up with the bulk that that I sell.

If in contract it might be smart to sell below value, both cuz you don't pay the 10% and cuz you indeed should be gratefull your customers continue to accept contracts real fast.
Also, it spares you from selling in contract which might spoil the market when you sell a lot.
But on the market i don't think its smart to sell 30% below value.
I'm sure it gets sold 10% below value to, so 30% would be useless..
Also, which product are you referring to?
Selling power -30% isn't that much of a gap, daily changes will probably be larger then the 30%...
Contracts can be funny tho.
I once had a guy selling at the market and when i bought his offer he offered to send more in a contract, but he would only sell at 10% over the price i payd on the market and he refused to drop the price....
He didn't understand i wasn't willing to pay his requested contract price, but he did get annoyed cuz i kept buying his market offers

Its contract price that I sell cheap.
If I sell market I usually sell them -10% market price so it will sell right away but I rarely sell at market unless its contest products

I still have some products that I put in the market at a higher price and it is still there after 1 month but Im just to lazy to take it out and change the price

Indeed, selling above market low is dangerous.
Depending on what it is it might be usefull to let it stay on the market.
Sometimes expensive items suddenly get sold due to a contest.
A contest very often results in many related products ending up getting more expensive to
Usually when i sell on the market i make sure its enough below current market low to make sure it gets sold fast.
To bad it doesn't always work
