What's up with Diamonds?

As a part of my side production on Realm 2, I make diamonds.
But I notice that it's very hard to sell them, why is that?

are they even needed for anything, and if so: what qualities are mostly needed?
The market doesn't go above Q10, and the offers seem to stay the same for ages...

I think there's only diamond rings they are needed for and if you look at the stats for those there's not huge amounts being sold daily, if you don't need huge amounts i'm guessing most of the diamond ring producers probably mine their own keeping the ring costs down now powers risen,

Is the price difference on buying Q10 worth the extra couple of Q on the final product? oddly around 4/5 months ago the diamond market was pretty dry i know as i had around 80,000 in my warehouse and was waiting for it to happen to sell which i did at a good profit now it gets no-where near that although prices seem to have risen a little.

well I've been trying to sell my Q10 diamonds for prices similar to those of Q3 diamonds, but even then it didn't sell.

Diamonds are only ever used in diamond rings. Looking at the Realm2 stats, the diamond ring markets look normal. Though the market is very profitable it is still very small (because of NPC constraints) and a few people control most of the market. These people will probably make the diamonds themselves or have very old partners who have high research and can make higher quality than you.

So these people never buy any diamonds from any except their suppliers, then if their supplier disappears they need a new supplier so only then would they look at the forum or buy from the market. Most big businesses now work on contract only basis (except to the NPC) so no need to even look at your offers VerCon.

I would say that you didn't choose the best of side products, but if you could find a diamond rings maker you might get some help from them. The unfortunate fact that some people don't even bother to look on the markets or the forums regularly.

so it's pretty much a satisfied demand that's holding me back...

I currently switched those mines to produce Stones just like my other mines, because I have 3 million diamonds that I need to get rid of.

I might place them on a market just incase someone is trying to start up a business in Diamond rings.
Then that person can buy his heart out.

And just incase anyone's interested in buying them:
I have the following:
- Just over 1 million Diamonds Q10
- Just over 2 million Diamonds Q11

Did some calculations and daily demand in all 3 red areas totals just under 100,000 daily and you have enough diamonds for about 3million diamond rings. I think change of side product would be good or be the person with the most diamonds in the warehouse at one time.

Yeah I moved my diamond producing mines back to producing stones.

I had 2 side productions, one was diamonds, the other oil.
Oil actually works just fine, going at Q19 oil.

So it's just stones and oil now.
