Retailing and stats changes

Post by Guest » 29.07.2010, 09:27

If for example you retail on a 48 hour cycle:

If after 24 hours the stats change in your favour. Do you:

A) Restock your store at the same price and sell more products in the next 48 hour cycle.

B) Restock your store to sell out in the time remaining thereby selling for a higher price.

C) Ignore stats changes altogether and just take what comes.

D) None of the above.

-------------------------------
Conversely

If when you come to restock your empty stores the stats have changed so that your profit margins have been cut by upto 50%

Do you:

A) Sell for the same price and settle for selling far fewer.

B) Sell much fewer but at higher price (until the stats change in your favour again).

C) Don't sell any at all untill the stats favour you again.

D) None of the above.

I'm interested to see how other people handle stats changes.

D and D :)
I don't care for the stats.
Just set the buildings to sell full rack in an amount of time that I like (usually 48)
Whatever price it is.

I guess my answer is D & B.

I only edit prices when it's in my favour (sometimes it's not, even though it should be). I don't stock up until the shop is all sold out.

Optimum price, whatever that may be....
If the price jumps up I dump every item I have into it (I have jewels so its fine for up to 3 weeks) but I lose out a bit by having to keep that stockpile up. If it drops then ill just re-calc the best price and do that but resell asap.
