Favorite Price

Post by Guest » 26.06.2007, 01:29

I find myself typing the same numbers in specific slots quite often.

I'd like Kapilands to be able to store my favorite price (User changable) for a specific item at a specific quality. This would make restocking my gas stations very easy. Gas stations at 20m2 sell out very quickly, so it's quite frustrating retyping/remembering each qualities price. I also have about 8 qualities in stock, so it's a bit of work.

Additionally, I always produce the same amount in my factories. Could I get it to remember my favorite production quantity?

I know this gets a step closer to automation, but it seems like a decent help, and still requires you to select qualities/quantities.

Well the admin buildings have note fields, that helps a bit. (Though myself I keep a small notebook page of notes by my computer.)

Maybe this is a good option for the next version... I know that some people wanted to have this "produce by hours"-item in the other versions, too... let's wait what the programmers say. For this version, however, I do not think that it will be implemented...

Nice. As an additional bonus it could "round down" to a whole value that will not waste partial materials. I.E: 78.8 TVs -> 75 TVs

EDIT: ooops, wrong product. Say Gasoline, for instance, requires .2 oil. So 75 would be an even amount.

One more suggestion that I didn't want to make a new thread about:

Why why why why does gasoline have to sell out in 10 hours? I am a slave to my own profitability! It would be nice if the gas stations held twice as much product.

Why 75? wouldn't it be 80 since i'm guessing you mean round down to the nearest 5? or if you ment round off to the nearest unit it would be 79 ;p i don't get how you got 75 :S

Some end products require 0.2 of a required product. this means you have to produce 5 of the end products to use a whole unit of required product. If you produce 79 in the above example you would "waste" 0.5 of a unit of glass.

Televisions
elements:
5 kg Plastic
1 Piece E-Components
1.5 kg Glass
700 kWh Power

A better example would be leather... Always produce an even number of leather. Those cattle don't come cheap.

Leather
elements:
0.5 Piece Cattle
700 kWh Power
