When I am trying to set up contracts, a lot of the larger companies don't want to bother selling to me because I buy so little. (10k sounds like a lot!)
Wouldn't it be nice if I had an option to request a contract renewal? It allows me to ask for a renewal on any contract fulfilled in the last 48 hours. These contract renewals could then be accepted quickly by the seller without worry of bad prices.
Maybe even give the seller an option to autorenew contracts from certain companies. This would allow essentially a recurring contract. Maybe go one further and make a daily contract actually a daily contract.
I don't mind doing a bit of extra work, but the people I buy from do! Anything I can do to help them out would help me. =)
Renewed contract

Yeah at one point I myself suggested "reverse contracts" where you send someone the cash for a shipment and they accept by sending the product back.
Another feature that might help is if the address book had additional details, where you could set up all the details under an address listing and senda contract in one click.
But if big players don't want to send small contracts, that's perhaps understandable. What they might be willing to do however is send multiple small contracts and let them sit. That's something I'll do, since sending 5 of the same contract is just a matter of clicking "back" and "execute" 4 times. And if they're small it doesn't bother me to wait a few days for acceptance.

Ok, I see your (referenced) thread about buy orders. -> Link <- That itself would be good, but I imagine there might be some extra spam for the big guys. Still, that might work.
I had a more recent Idea, where a sell contract works like a market listing only purchasable by one person. That person could go in and buy as much as he wished at his convienece. The Sellers only have to go in and restock contracts from time to time. A special message when it is depeleted would help too.

Some people are shy. They would rather just buy your produce and keep quiet. This is mainly because of the "Stranger Danger" message we might have all heard of as children.
"Don't talk to strangers!". It does have it's merits but eventually we have to talk to strangers.
I'm not sure about what is the best way to generate more communication between companies but maybe in the next version Nazen might consider upgrading the contracts to enable sellers to offer contracts to anyone, without IGM's.
Once a contract is accepted then communication can begin between those parties concerned. Maybe this will make the game a little more profitable because we all should be selling contractually or working towards contracts.
Being shy is like being a snail, if you get scared off you just retreat into your shell. Being bold is like being a rabbit, you can race around and exploit the benefits of your boldness.
Rabbits and snails are pests to farmers. In my experience snails are easier to control that rabbits. They both taste good if you know how to cook them.
Nice thoughts Serenity.
