Maybe because EVERYONE produces oil already and has factories to turn it into gas. So it's very easy for EVERYONE to quickly turn production to plastic. I wouldn't be suprised if you needed around 500k to get in the top 100.

Actually, no. I don't produce oil... =( I'm such a noob. Do I need to reset you think ? ;)
Hey, I've got factories, is that making up for it ? ;)

I'm not sure that litteraly everyone has production units suitable for the contest, but yes, the overwhelming majority of bigger companies and top players Varg was wondering about are in the gas buisness and already have the buildings involved in plastic production (and they have them in insane m

yeah but no one is sending plastic to the contest. I asked CMB and he said he wont be buying plastic. Seems like people dont care about this contest for some reason. maybe its just early and will pick up soon. weird

i'll put my ten cents on the contest coming too soon (do we have a bookmaker? betting could become the 'new economy' in kapilands)

i was discussing the contest earlier today, and then the conclusion was we'd probably be better off supplying chemicals for plastic production. however, i'm still focusing most of my capacity at steel for my expansions (i know i'm small and don't affect the contest much, so no need to comment on that fact)

Me and my friend have started betting in real life using kapiland contracts.
e.g "I bet you ten thousand steel at 120caps that you don't get that girls phone number"
It's great fun!!

Maybe, just maybe, some of the big players are not interested because they were a bit annoyed that a new realm was made even though there were still lots of improvements to be made in the first one.

I produced some plastic and if no one buys before the time is up, I'd dump them all on the contest and see if I can win. :D
