Selling prices at mine products

Post by Guest » 19.10.2010, 08:07

Hello,

I am writing in order to talk about an issue for the mine products..
I wiil be discussing minerals, quartz, iron ore, coal and stones leaving outside the ''precious'' one..
In order to simplify everything power and water is taken as 0.25

First of all i have to start with stones.. stones cost 1.8*(6*0.25)=3.30
and in one day someone can make x stones( lets say 100).. so he sells them for 25 and makes 2500 revenue - 330 cost= 2170 profit.
prices are standard as NPC exists. so this should be the minimun profit someone should make by having a mine.. (need for stones is always great, so i believe prices will never go less than 25).
So mine holders should make another product only if they make bigger profit..(as the need for other products is a lot lees)

minerals. minerals cost 0.31+(18*0.25)=4.81 (++the hidden cost of any researches!!!!!!!)
with a rate of 12/13(my base is stones) someone makes less than 100 minerals around 92.. so 92*4.81= 442.52
in order to have the same profit 2170+442.52=2612.52/92=28.3
So all player have to put their q0 minerals 28.3 at least and then grow the price when q++ comes.. But when you look the minerals market almost all time prices are under 25 caps..

Quartz.. Here things are even worse..
cost is 0.32 +(18*0.25)=4.82 same rate so 92 quartz and for the same profit price should be over 28.4.. and when you go on the market you can see prices like 5 or 10 caps and thats a shame...

coal, iron ore.. i don't have a lot experience for these market but i see there are dead markets as there are small amount there. so quantities go through contracts. and as far as i am concerned high qs sell at good price but low qs not so good at all..

SO TO ALL MINE PRODUCERS... MAKE STH AND SELL IT IN A PRICE THAT GIVES YOU HIGHER PROFIT THAN STONES OR DONT DO IT!!!!!!

Too true,
This docent touch on the precious items which is even more under priced
Gold: 340
Silver: 290
Diamonds: 420!

I can buy gold on the R2 market for under 200! Thats less than the power/water costs to produce, frankly I dont understand

Dont forget these are not Q0 products, so as the Q increases the hidden costs as thess calls them grow to massive size yet with items such as diamonds the demand in punny. This means we cant rely on volume trade in these to make up the short fall. IN many cases, in associated industries, to achieve economy of scale we cant support more than one-two players producing regularly!

Just my 2c
