Oil Producers on Realm 1

I did the numbers (i think properly) and they came out with oil being the least profitable per building in the gas production chain.
Well: 32,000m
Oil 132,583 Q32 (Q64 Research)
cost:40/5,303,320
Sales: 110+Q/18,826,786
Profit: 13,523,466

Factory 32,000m
Gas 397749 Q32 (Q32 Oil+Q64 Research)
Cost: 30/11,932,470
Sales: 40+Q/28,637,928
Profit: 16,705,458

Gas Station 32,000m (this part may not be very exact as it can vary tremendously)
Gas 800,000 Q32 (1/2 rack sold in 24 hrs.)
Cost: 40+Q/57,600,000
Sales: 100+Q/105,600,000 (Sales price provided by ILIYYILI)
Profit: 48,000,000

Why is it that oil, the one that takes forever to expand, gets the least profit. You would think that Gas would as the buildings expand fast and it produces large amounts per building. If someone could explain this it would be very helpful. The only thing that i can think of is that there is a large number of oil producers (large or small) that are not very active in the forums.

Even with the price that Seoes is offering (120+1.1Q) gas still makes 1 million more in profit than oil does.

And no this is not complaining and please do not say to switch industries if i am not satisfied with the profits.

actually, I sell gas for 100+q

and it all realy depends on quality, higher quallity = evryone makes more money

This changes the retail part quite a bit but still does not help explain why oil producers are so far underpaid.

well there are powerproducers in that chain too :/
and they get much less then oil producers...

That is true. Their expansion times are the same as well. So maybe it is the NPC that both hinders us and protects us from outrageous prices.

so your complain is that oil's profit it low, maybe at this time it is, because there were many water producers that moved into oil resently, so the demend is low

but when they'll see producing gas is more profitable, some will move into gas production buisness, and then oil demend and price will go up.

that 1 milliom (out of 13) isn't such a difference, so it shouldn't concern you
