i didnt sell my flour but i got 1 CC for like 3 million (produce the flour myself) and I am going to sell it hopefully for 300 million so 297 million profit aint bad with only a 300 m2 food factory

now the cattle q4 contest realm 1 had a while back i placed 18th and got 2 CC's, and I also sold a lot of cattle and that is when my company took off I jumped 4 levels I think during that contest

my god...
2 billion is too much. i am also a contest hunter and have been made profits over 500mill in a few contests.
there is good money in contests but you need a lot of slots.

what i do is simple. i have a core business of gas. then, i have producing buildings of all types. and i continuously expand them till a contest arrives.
when it does come, i make a lot of cash. to support this, i also have researched everything till a minimum of q12.

Well... not originally... ;)

The main objective in having a contest is to bring a wider variety to the game.
That you can earn money by the contest, is a nice and positive effect. But it's not, what the contest is supposed to do.

I thought i said something usefull :D damn :)

Lol let me quote the newspaper

Hint for smaller companies:

Small companies often do not have the potential to get a good ranking in a contest, as they do not have enough resources/cash to produce as many products. But if you sell the contest products to bigger companies, this is a great opportunity to earn a lot of money.

:D nah :)

Profit from contest??

Few weeks ago we had the Chemicals contest.
I happened to have 40M chemicals in store worth around 30 each which i managed to sell at 200-400 each.
Lets make it an average 250 profit each.
Also sold a 1000m factory with nice profit.

That resulted in about 10B profit.

This however was a very nice result i'll probably never beat :)
On the current contest (Q3 lotions on R1) i sold 4 green Chemical Plants which i already had for some time and was eager to trade for red ones.
I'll consider that a 2B profit.
Also i'll produce 1M lotions which depending on the value at the end of the contest would result in another 1B profit should i be able to sell them at 1.100 each.

That would result in a 3B profit, but i was waiting for this contest already for some time :)

The contests have treated me well recently :)

I'm glat to see succesful stories here. R2 or R1 not matter at all we can convert kaps to coins and compare.

Smart strategy anupsunit :) you can cash in every contest. In my case this happened only one time in long period.

i wouldnt say that  you keep expanding for like 6 months, then there is a contest, in which you make a few hundred million, then you expand more, and in the end you have 32k sqm butcher shops, food factories, fruit plantations etc. which make you little money because they produce like 3 times more than 4k buildings -> little profits after your expansion is finished. needless to say, you cant sell those buildings for much more than the expansion costs because no one wants them.

Some time ago, I opened a company on R1 and played with a contest

When I started, I opened a thread inside TibR2 and did this graphs:

After I continued for a while, and I arrived a point i had some billions cash, I buyed coins and I placed in top 20 and top 10 in contests.
If you don't believe me, look page 2 of "contest finished" thread 11 july, #9.

In 1 month was bigger than R2.
Then buyed coins, tecnology and some buildings, putted all building expanding for a 1-2 month period, then I deleted the account because I get annoyed and I thought that 1 world was enough for me.

XD

Well, contests don't make huge amounts of profit for my company, but their quite good. But I have a question:
Who sets the contests anyway?? :?

The products are randomly chosen by some computer along with their Q and are then implmented by the programmers, with mods such as goldeneye and pearlbay keeping an eye over the precedings and checking out any and all of the winners :)
