i'm kinda new here...
somethnig is bothering me because i find it wery unlogical
can someone explain why a lot of people is buying wardrobes(.etc). and that for a resonable high price.
do they have too big stores? can they make profit on that, buying and selling in their stores?

sorry, didnt explain enough...
i'm in realm1
i find it very strange for big companies to buy wardrobes q0 at price 1500,
when i find it difficult to sell it at price 1200.
by difficult, i mean,
if a have a joinery 20 m2, i need at least furniture store of 100 m2 in red to sell as much as I produce...
so my question was, do the big companies have so much bigger stores that they can sell far more than they produce?
because i cant see how that could be very profitable...

this is a business simulation and it need some time, to calculate the prices.
did you really think, we buy wardrobes and sell them in stores with a loss ?
i wouldnt explain my pricecalculation. but if you sell wardrobes in stores at 1200, you have absolute no idea about. did you fill the store with complete advertisements ?
most of the big sellers fill the stores only at 50%, so the price in the stats raise and raise. you should sell your wardrobes to the buyers at 1500 instead of selling them into stores at 1200.
okay, one secret - i sell q0 not less than 2.400 !
and another: my smallest store is 10,000 sqm.

I just read this topic and realize that selling buildings are the best way in long run. Because by increasing the m2 in selling building do not decrease selling amount per m2, but in producing buildings when you get to about 5000m2 there is allmost no point to expand any futher. So I was like ok I will get in selling building business and gather some information about selling buildings. ANd find out that other buldings than gas station or furniture store its not even close as profitable. Jewlery and Textile is still ok but not as profitable. But everyone is allready doing this so I wanned to try some other as toy stores or Drugstore I will not make great profit but at least I will do something different THE ONLY PROBLEM is thatI calculate how I want but it turns out I will make loss on them. Why is difference so huge that dont leave even choice in which business go into. Sell all stupid producing buildings and make 100 x 2000m2 furniture stores an live happy.
Sorry about language in hurry. Hope you get the point Drug store disaster not bussines as well toy store.

I am fairly new to this game so if I am wrong please tell me.
I understand that it is profitable for people to buy wardrobes at 1,600 and then sell them for 2,400. What I don't understand is why people are building them and here is why.
The market value of the products used to produce Wardrobes.
Wood - 20 * $60 = $1200 ( I used 60 as an average for wood but I sell Q0 for more )
Steel - 5 * $135 = $ 675
Power - 600 * .09 = $ 54
That means you spent $1939 to get the materials for one wardrobe. Why would anyone sell them for less then that?????
Things not included:
1. Cost to produce wardrobe
2. You still need to pay for your furniture store, Research, For Advertisements, and your time.
Maybe I am totally off but I am not seeing it being profitable. Unless you were selling them for roughly $3,000 and or your Quality is astronomical that the price people will pay sky rockets.
Please let me know is I am on another planet with this thinking.

a little bit far away from earth
with my actual research in wardrobes i produce wardrobes q18 with steel q0 and wood q0.
same calculation : ~ 2,000 caps for the raw material. but i sell the wardrobes at a little bit less than 4,000 in stores, and thats the advantage of research. the higher the research, the bigger the profit.
so, if i produce wardrobes q18 at 2,000 caps each - the buyer pay 2,500 per wardrobe q18.

i sell q12 for 3500. if i bought wardrobes at the price that one of the big companies buys them i would have to pay 2100. this would earn me 1400 per wardrobe. in a fully advertised store i sell 0.4 wardrobe per employee per hour, which would make me 540 caps per hour per employee. which is quite a nice number.
The one wich is not buying material, but producing everything itself.Big Sales wrote:IThat means you spent $1939 to get the materials for one wardrobe. Why would anyone sell them for less then that?????
I make few wardrobe (this is not my main business), and by making
everything myself I can produce Q7 wardrobes for less than 500. Of
course, this only include the material cost, it didn't take in account
the cost of the building.
