if you dont want to hear arguements or complaints, stay off any forum...
there are those who cant afford to spend money on the game. Click some ads each day, keep it free, but people who are still in school, or just simply cant afford it are hurt drasticly due to greed, not shortage.
the raise in prices arent because there are less coins... dont get me wrong, there are less coins, but the price went up WAY to fast to be simply a shortage. it was 90% greed pushing prices that high. they saw they could charge that much, so they did, and they are getting it.
It's similar to the gas crisis in 1973, set the trigger (a shortage of gas, in that case, a fake one) and people start charging $5 a gallon the day after the crisis started, when the day prior, they were charging $0.35 a gallon, not because there was any less gas, but because they were greedy and taking advantage of a situation where people were willing to pay it.
and chances are, that the coin prices will stop rising very soon, as they will simply get too high for the majority of people to pay for, the cow milked, and it will stay stationary for a while, or possibly even drop back down some, as the people who are stocking up also need to regain funds, and the short-mid range coin profiteers sell off thier stores, flooding the market again
what you seem to not understand is i wasnt complaining, i was merely making a simple statement at the absurdity of that type of system. most people are not going to walk away happy from a trend that skyrockets quickly, and often shuts down just as quickly, either because they didnt get in fast enough, they cant afford coins for thier premium accounts anymore, or simply because when the bubble bursts, and they didnt sell at the peak, very few will look at the profit they actually made, and most will be unhappy because of the profits they missed out on. you can see it time and time again in any game you can trade items in, most people who lose out on the smallest of profits, generally arent happy, even if they made a net profit, unless it was a very very large one.
and again, remembering i'm saying "MOST," because there are practical people out there... don't post things like "well i'm not like that, so you're automatically wrong"

Elwood makes some great points. I mean given that all of us are in this game to make money with our companies, we should certainly understand the incentive of others to do so - be it in game by charging more for coins, or externally how the game itself sells coins for Euros.
And it is a good deal. The more the price of coins goes up, the easier it is to get a nice cash injection by purchasing a few. I certainly know about being a poor college student, but all things considered this game is really cheap to play. And with current prices just 1 Euro will get you over 5 million caps. Back when I started it took weeks (or a lot more coins) to get that much.
