Sounds like a reasonable conclusion.rasfast wrote:The contest is near the end, and most of wood producers return to their normal product (wood instead of a corn)greenPOWER wrote:Now power price suddenly rised. Can someone, please, explain what was the trigger to rise the power price? Just wondering...
But wasn't the power down to around 13 already before the contest ??
Still, them changing to wood again will obviously make the price go up again after the market has been under pressure a lot lately

Just as Eleknar does, I price my daily 1B power allocation to whatever the lowest price on the market currently is minus .01. Despite the "conspiracy theories" about price fixing by the power companies, it's simply not true. It's simple supply/demand economics (with a price cap) that dictate the price of power.
The only guarantee I can make as a large power producer is this: I will never sell for more than .27 and never for less than .02!
Good luck and happy building!!!

I'm just a consumer... i think one of the main thing of our realm, R2, is that we lost a lot of very big players....
So they left the game, and a lot of power production remained unconsumed... so there is a fairly low price....
but i think that with the passing of time request will be over the production anyway... but for now, we enjoy the price .
( I'm a Electronic producer so I enjoy a lot XD )

Then price will go up a lot and you'll make a better profit at the end.
This marketdropping you guys do right now won't benefit any of you in the long run cuz you only lower your own profits.
I'm happy i started selling my plants already before the drop

Main problem has been the contests some time ago where much power was needed.
That managed to make the power price skyrocket which lured many people into building more plants and start producing more power.
Now the obvious result of it all has occured.
Overproduction and some people not being very smart businessmen results in a huge downfall.
At the end the smart businessmen always manage to end up making a good profit out of this market turmoil cuz they plan ahead of the market changes

Sure it will. By selling my power for less than the competition, or "market dropping" as you call it, I am almost guaranteed to sell my power immediately. This greatly benefits me in the long run because it provides me with caps that I can utilize now. Look at all of the power on the R2 market right now that is priced at .12, .13, or .14 caps. If I were to put my power into one of those price categories it would just sit there making me absolutely no money, which does not benefit me at all. I would rather sacrifice a bit and make money now as opposed to selling at a higher price and risk having to wait days/weeks/months for someone to buy it.Ronintje wrote:This marketdropping you guys do right now won't benefit any of you in the long run....

Wish you were active in R1, you would have no problem getting power down to 0.10 over there to

Well, currently I'm a full time student studying Accounting. Accounting is often considered to be "the language of business" because it covers pretty much every aspect of business. I'm not an Accounting genius and I haven't been studying the subject for very long but I know enough to know that sometimes you have to do whatever is necessary, even lowering prices, to beat the competition.Ronintje wrote:See, you fail to understand business basics.Eleknar wrote:Sure it will. WOW.....
So they aren't at all people who only need to put the numbers in the right computer section in order to let the computer do all the math on business done by others???
Euhm...
Next thing would be you telling us the owners of Liverpool FC should be put in the field cuz owners of a Football Club are great footballers themselves for the mere reason of them being the owners....
Yummie, that would be fun

A smart businessman will make maximum profit before the market start dropping. Means even I sell very high I still can sell my product within few hours or even minutes. When the market drop, I have already made huge money and get rid of it.
Just like those smart investors in real life they earn the money before the financial crisis coming. Not like that stupid and greedy AIG CEO
