Stock Prices(Interesting topic)

Post by Guest » 16.06.2008, 08:22

I feel that if Kapilands is selling some stocks, it should buy it back at the same price, otherwise that thing is just a useless feature.
Why have such a feature when it can't benefit anybody?
Or
I would suggest creating a system that would fluctuate stock prices.

Please do something.

there has been a bug - and now stocks are a dead part of the game.
You can only loose money. The stocks don't move...

But it would be great if it would work.

But I think if it would work , it will be a complicated thing...

Maybe it is a good idea to give a fixed interest-rate on the stocks you own.
That would be easy to program I think. It should be the opposite of taking a loan from the bank. (from manager level and up) The more share's you own , the more interest you get.... 8)

The fact is: In this game nothing will be changed in the stock system. Just ignore that function!

It would be a too huge change and could only be done if the game would be offline for several days. Otherwise it would be much too risky and the database might sustain serious damage.
So just keep your hands away from that.

I know it is aggravating to know that this function does not work but due to the reason that there has been a bug and that was used against the rules by several players it is now simply frozen. Stocks will only fall.

Don't speculate with stocks! It will only cause you harm!

Then why do you keep it in the game? Just take it out and you won't see these threads anymore.

It is the same reason that I gave above...
The programmers pointed out that such a change in the running game is much too risky. I cannot change anything myself as I am not a programmer. I can only tell you what they told me. ;)

Sorry for this.

In the real world it works the same... Big Fat Guy with huge amount of money tackles the stocks then he go home with a Big fat layers and sacks of money.

And besides, big level players have to face the decrease of the output each time level is gained

If it can be changed for same retraction and issue price by getting the game offline for a week or so.
I'm ready to do it.
We can have poll and see if Kapi really wants this to happen

Gosh the thread title is a real misnomer!! Stocks and shares have never worked. Also my vote for taking Kapilands down for a week to remove a button is no - don't be ridiculous.

Ah well , it is just in real life anyway. Money makes money but stocks
seem to go down anyway these days. Better invest your money in expanding your company and earn money in a solid way... 8)
