Is it just me

I bought coins.
First realm I play completely without them and I got to top 40 in FA.
So I know what it is like to build your company slowly up. The same I do in realm3 of German version.
Now I wanted to do something else. Try different approach. That is why I bought coins. You can call me cheater but it is not against rules.....

How much time you spend per day playing in so much realms?stajny wrote:I bought coins.

This is kind of why some of us have been chuckling for months every time someone asked "when will there be a new realm?" As if everyone would suddenly be the same there. Hopefully everybody sees that's not true.
It's not cheating. It's the opposite of cheating. It's supporting the game that we're all playing. Since the rules allow everyone to contribute, it's pefectly fair. And if you choose not to participate in that option, then that's not the fault of those that do. People sell coins to other players in Realm 1 also, and frankly it's not a bad idea.
Instead of thinking of it as free money, think of as post-purchasing time. In Realm 1 right now, if you started today it would take several months to hit Manager, right? Well for 10 euros, you could get 100 coins. At the prevailing rate, that would put you right into Manager territory instantly. It's like you bought time to make up for months when you weren't here. And 10 euros is hardly a lot to pay for that benefit.
Now I do understand where you are coming from. There is a difference between purchasing 6 months in a game that has been out for 9, and purchasing a month in a game that has been out for 3 days. But over time that difference will become more and more negligible, and meanwhile all your play decisions are very important.
However, I will grant that there is an issue you're feeling, it's just not exactly where you're focused. Let's say for the sake of conversation that
A) The goal is to be the biggest possible.
B) There is a discernible "best strategy" (and it just might rhyme with "Mass Nation")
As long as those two things remain true, then this "jump start" if you will is not just an advantage but an insurmountable victory. And I think that's what you're reacting to. Unless the current leaders screw up somehow, they'll be in the lead forever.
Ideally A and B would both be false - Strategy would change and being biggest wouldn't be everyone's goal. Let's take the second point first:
A changing strategy is certainly possible in games. If you play poker, you probably know that the best strategy for a loose table is to play tight (and wait for the winning hand while everyone else goes in with crap), and the best strategy for a tight table is to play loose (and steal a bunch of pots from players who are too afraid to bet). Chess is a very complex changing strategy, where a good move becomes bad once your opponent expects it. And Rock/Paper/Scissors is so extreme that the best strategy is no strategy at all.
Is it possible for an economic game? I don't know. But I will concur that it's not quite true here at the moment.
As for point A) though, I think we do have some control over that. You don't need to be the biggest. You could be the biggest Pullover seller (Hi Azer!). Or the trusted oil supplier to the big gas giant. Or the jack-of-all-trades who always has rare supplies available for the moments when someone needs it for a quest. Or have the highest score/fixed assets ratio. Each of these has value different to the player, and people can succeed without having to get that jump and be the best.
So, long-winded post aside (man, you get me talking ...) I hope that if you do dump Realm 2, you still have some goals in Realm 1 at least that you enjoy chasing.

And dont forget, if there is no cash, the prices will drop because no one can afford to buy your products, so its a win for everyone who didn't buy coins too.GregorPB wrote:You can twist and turn it as often you want but it will stay what it is: Dirty cheating !
In my eyes it is sad that at the second day of the new realm2 the statistics are corrupted and the fun of the competition is destroyed.
My realm2 company closes the door today.
Oh, please, do not tell me things like "support the game" or "their private time" ! This is a professional game by a professional company.
To keep it clear: Buying benefits for real money is a legitime instrument in general. It is a part of their business and a it is a part of this game.
Loosing your own fun with the challange to build up a new company from scratch by giving yourself a jumpstart is everybodies own problem.
But in a new world (or enviroment or realm) everybodies goal should be "being a better businessman than the others" and not "I spend more real money than the others".
If you do not want to call it "cheating" you may call it "different goal".
Sorry, this is not my goal. My personal goal was to let my company grow as fast as possible and the levelling rule for my success could be the statistics. But the statistiks are not representative now. My goal has been destroyed. So I quit this realm. Not more and not less.

u can use but u shudnt cause sometime some losers( no offence to anybody) keep real names and they go into losses in the game and there r some dopes who believe that this company reflects the real one and say even that real company is stupid. so thats y u shudnt use. plus some companies wudnt like it if u use their names kinda like they r obssesed with copyright protectedvoltage inc wrote:but its an actule company name and i dont think you can use them
