I better post here to not interfere with the discussion.

LOL, 2 atheists discussing the (im)possibility of the United States being "One Nation Under God".

Gee..I wonder what the outcome will be...

I really think this is an interesting game though.
:D

Nope........Agnostic.

The individual differences in religious dogma are all human frailties coming out of hiding and manifesting themselves under the guise of religion. The religious babble that is spouted nowadays is nowhere near what was originally intended.

most people like a good argument ,myself included, but todays educational system does not prepare most students for this. There seems to ba a lack of logical training,a lack of lateral thinking...which seems to degrade an argument into "who knows the most swear words"

You don't have to apologize for the topic. :D if it is a good topic for you then it is a good topic, but just a complicated one.

I would recommend though (maybe for next topic) to define the concept in the statement/topic so it is not susceptible for different interpretations by the 2 debaters.

For instance: statement to be argued:
"You must never lie about anything."

Definition:To lie = to state something that one knows to be false.

My definition might be the above, and yours might be: stating something that is not true, knowingly or not.
Or what one would call exaggerate, another would call a lie, which makes it confusing to debate.

ah well the topic on ww2 now and it should be over soon,

personaly i love arguing but people seem to find it ''bad'' yet its the way to find the best of something.

And yes its an art, to be able to convince someone of something when you yourself do not believe in it, take the one nation under god, i dont believe it but im arguing for it  atleast with this discussion i feel like im arguing for the right thing

Someone calling my name??

I wouldn't mind discussing a point i don't even agree to, tho its less difficult to discuss something you actually know about.

Discussing to me can be just like kapilands, just a game.
