yep here in South West England everything a standstill,
Although the wife did walk to work, shes a Critical Care nurse, many of her colleagues havnt made it in.
I am off work as the school is closed, i live close enough to walk in, but many teachers cannot travel from outlying areas.
Car is currently stuck on drive unable to move, so wife is probably staying in work tonight
regards

There's around 8-10inches in North west England, it all came down Sunday evening - Monday evening and apart from the main roads all of it's still here, traveling to work yesterday i must of seen a dozen people at the end of side roads just wheel spinning on the spot trying to get out, and judging by the amount of cars parked on the main roads last night nearly everyone has left them there and walked the rest of the way home to use them today. The couple of inches on Saturday morning was the most impressive at 07.55 it started snowing heavily and at 08.05 it stopped and everywhere was competely covered! no days off though due to other managers in the area walking 5-10miles to work when they couldn't drive
as soon as the regional manager found out he wouldn't really accept any excuses about being snowed in, some people just don't know when to take a day off!
